what do we care what you care about?
i havent seen a single commercial for it. i have no idea what it is.
im young, have a job i feel is secure and im looking for what next to frivolously buy to help consume my time when not working and not partying on the weekends. i recently bought a new computer, so a new computer is out of the question. im not gonna waste money on a new car because my ego is big enough already. right now im thinking either a 30" monitor, or a ps3, but im looking for more options. both have the benefit of being money dumps in teh future, the 30" monitor having a 2560x1600 resolution means i'll have to upgrade my videocard regularly, and a ps3 meaning i'll have plenty of games and blue rays that will need buying and a new tv or monitor to play them on.
beer fixes all
im gonna laugh when i see Obama raise taxes on the middle class. the guy hasnt voted contrary to the Democratic party ever; he's as liberal as they come in the US. sure he says no tax increases to middle class, but so did Clinton.
"aside from taxes, spending, and foreign policy but those are insignificant issues wink."
thats just for show. example. Bush and republicans in general are supposed to be-pro-life, at one point they had presidency, house of reps, and senate; and they didnt make a single attempt to make abortion illegal.
"did you hear about Warren Buffet's challenge? He said he'd give any millionaire a few million dollars if they could prove that they pay more taxes than their secretaries.
....So far, nobody has won the money."
nope, he said a higher income rate, not higher taxes; they obviously pay more taxes.
my current monitor: http://www.ecost.com/detail.aspx?edp=40125078&navid=155441524
"no offence
I liv ein europe and always follow american elections because it's so funny.
basicly it's republican vs democrats and the presidentcandidate they put forward is only an image.
I wonder how many americans just vote for a party for the candidate without even looking at the points they bring up for their campaign.
I think the problem is situated around education. public schools with teachers that are protected by their union and thus give bad teaching and private schools that are only for the richer and richest who of course get a succesfull career etc.
problem: poor stay poor, rich get richer."
private schooling is available to the working class. i went to a private school, and although there were acouple rich snobs, the majority was middle class, and there were some working class.
theres also some great public schools and alot of great teachers at public schools. if anything its the attitude the kids have in public schools, its poor parenting.
it doesnt matter if people look at the points the candidates make. the candidates hold a very similar platforms.
you fool, do you really have enough better stuff to do that you couldnt put alittle more effort in your posts? i mean, calling BE gay and has sex with children..... i expected better from you. you didnt even make a comment about his kids; what diseases he has picked up from the women he had his kids with that he later passed on to his kids, or a comment about people that have served in the millitary during dessert storm.
"Avo: I think you were echoing my point about BW... how do we know he is any of these things? How do we know any of us are any of the things we say we are?"
i have a theory that everyone on the internet (other then myself) is 14. (couldnt be much younger because of the massive porn usage)
did i scare everyone away?
"the earth's purpose? cmon avo. the earth's purpose is to be, to give life to things, to perpetuate that life. i think it's hard to say "the earth" as well, the earth is a collection of all the things on it, the planet, animal, insect life, all of it. the earth just happened and then life just happened on it, and no creature that happened on it did anything to deliberately destroy it, except us."
come on, you didnt catch that i was making fun of you saying the "earth's purpose"? the only thing you can really argue has a purpose is humans, and even then you would have a hard time convincing some people of that. they would tell you any purpose is fictional and is just made up to give their life meaning.
so more importantly; what are human's purpose?
"and people dont care how its supplied, they just want it cheaper. if walmart stopped selling milk tomorrow people would just get it elsewhere and your locality would suddenly have a little bit more coming into it. i know you're touting the wonders of the conglomerates but do you care about the area you live in, the area your from, or do you care about walmart and its amazing powers of purchasing and distributing at a rate that kicks mom and pop's asses to the curb?"
well, if my entire area gets their milk for cheaper, that makes it easier for everyone in my entire area. a cheese company paying less for milk means cheaper cheese; cheaper cheese means cheaper sandwiches, cheaper milk also means cheaper yogurt, icecream, ect. cheaper milk in your entire area means a reduction in costs for your entire area which means more economic success in your entire region against other regions' companies.
if i wanted [graphic obscenity] i wouldnt of banned my gf from my computer room.
i cant always critique myself. well, maybe i could; but it would get boring.
now that i think about it, correct isnt the right word either. correcting isnt that hard either, look at people who thought Bush would be a good president
whats tough is making people admit fault.
also, are people actually swayed by televangelists? i always considered the ones on TV as stand up comedians.
[Meh]
damnit! stop agreeing with me! its boring! [w00f!] you!

> yeah walmart is a grocery store too, but so what? the difference between walmarts milk prices and those of my local corner store is 50 cents. you cant see giving 50 cents to your neighbor? you'd rather give that to walmart? i know thats an amazing sum of money so maybe im being pretentious in assuming everyone can get 50 cents together.
im not sating people cant afford it, but that 50 cents means walmart is doing a better job at supplying melk then a small grocery store could. if small businesses could do the job just as well as large businesses, there wouldnt be any large businesses. if you want me to be a real dick and quash any help of you arguing otherwise, look at communication companies. the massive infrastructure they have, a small company could never accomplish.

> i agree that there are good people, i know many. i always love when people say "well thats why we're not animals." we seem to be the only suicidal species, the only one that actively destroys the thing that gives us life, no other creature does that. we dont work in a darwinian sense, we're retarded. animals plants and insects have had no negative impact on the earth, they just fit in to their niche. name one good thing humans have done for the earth.
first you have to define what the earth's purpose is before you can say whats harming and helping it.
and i agree it is fun when people say why we're not animals. but when you think about it, we may have alot of things that no other species has, but alot of species have things that seperate them from all other species. but what makes us no longer animals is not some evolutionary step, but its what our ancestor's passed down to us. language, agriculture, morals, technology, ect.

> what goods can they not supply as well? junk. if you really think about it its just crap that walmart is providing you with. so in that case, yes, small business probably cannot keep me as awash in useless, cheap, chintzy crap as walmart.....oh well. small business can provide me with food, some luxury goods, etc. the problem is always that people want a bunch of stuff. stuff stuff stuff, thats the name of the game. so if you're arguing for those people i'm afraid i can never win. i'll say, "hey, why dont you get rid of 6 of your 7 sit-n-spins" and they'll say "hell no, theres a new model coming out and i want to have them all"
what can you say to that?
not just crap. milk. yes, small businesses can supply milk, but not at walmart's prices. and the vast, vast, vast, majority would say the price a business is able to provide something is a huge factor in how well they provide it.

> if you put a guy that came from nothing at the helm it'd be the same thing, thats just how human beings are conditioned. remember 1984? when the "average joe's" finally took power, they were determined to keep it because they werent interested in the trappings of power, they were interested in power itself, and took it to the most extreme. the shareholders are also quite a problem. even the most morally upright guy will probably cave when a bunch of very wealthy people who essentially own the company he/she is running tell him/her to do this and that in order to get them those nice quick profits.
yeah, i didnt mean to say some random guy from the street would be good. especially because the rest of us were raised to be consumers. we are raised to be extremely materialistic so that the companies can make money, we are raised to be plagues on the earth. that doesnt mean all of us become plagues on the earth and there arent business people that try to make a good impact on the world. afterall, the reason humans arent just animals is the improvements past humans have passed down.
the problem is not that corporations are inherently greedy; the problem is with the number of companies across the world, its damn near impossible to find great men to lead each of them. So instead you get these greedy people that grew up spoiled because their dad was incredibly successful and are extremely materialistic, shallow, and incompetent making stupid decisions that negatively affect all of us, even themselves.
small businesses cannot do just a good a job as the big guys; a small company cannot supply goods as well as Walmart.
(i feel like a dick always disagreeing with you)

they're easy to sway, hard to correct.
great politicians have no problem swaying the public's minds.

they're big fans of their own reality

> why does everyone keep saying socialist? how about fascist? i mean after all, our candidates are in love with corporations, corporations are in love with fascist dictatorships, match made in heaven.
because people stop listening and just assume you're some extremist when you call the US something that radical. better off being more accurate and calling it an oligarchy because most people dont even know what one is so they wont dismiss you right away for claiming the US is one.
"More that is what he has told us has happened..."
how do you know i wasnt there with him?
thats a big range.... you have a budget? what kind of system do you have?
LCD's look like shit if they arent in their native resolutions, generally speaking larger monitors have larger native resolutions, the larger resolutions are extremely demanding on videocards.
i might get this http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2071695,00.asp
but its probably alittle large for you.
whats important to you, do you not care if your black is grey, you just want it to not break?
if my memory serves which is absolutely horrid. Blackwing used to be in the military. i think it was the army. has seen plenty of action and has visited many different areas across the world. but i could be wrong.
