And in this light, it could be very important. Look to what Germany did during WW2. Ideology made a lot of people go to the maximum of their capacities. I am not supporter of the Nazi ideology at all, or their gov system, but that doesn't make it less true. If you throw it out, you loose a lot of human capacity.

Same goes for fanatic suicide terrorists. Again, I'm also against terrorists, but it is their weapon so to speak, and proves my point.

Maybe what you want to say is the leadership shouldn't be influenced by ideology, but that is a whole other thing as just throwing out ideology.

It sounds like the USSR. It doesn't work.

1.) motive to work.
If you need people to "work for all", you need a control system. In this system a democratic one would fall. So you need a totalitarian regime, which is corrupted by default. This causes HUGE corruption, waste and a large and costly bureaucracy.

2.) in order to give people "what they need", you need to consider a few things:
1 it might be impossible.
2 who's going to decide what somebody needs?
3 to control it, you need a large bureaucracy and that is very costly and destined to be corrupt.

agreed. A large wall. It looks costly but it isn't. It would prevent a lot of drugs coming in the country and alone for that save a shitload of money. Also, as focker pointed out correctly you can save a lot on police forces there.

It would mean a good thing for Mexico as well because the drug cartels lose some of there profit.
