Most everyone agrees with some amount of social policy to help those in need in some ways. West's question gave Biden the easy opportunity to laugh at the Marxist question immediately, then respond and clarify how he does not hold Marxist views, despite certain obvious points of agreement with Marx's observations and thoughts. This would have shown how ridiculous he thought the question was and correted the misconception that ever led an idiot to ask it in the first place.

But Biden didn't do anything of the sort. He didn't 'laugh' and totally clam up because the question was ridiculous. He didn't give NO explanation, even an explanation of why the question was baseless and out of line, because the question was ridiculous. He realized the interview was asking for an amount of openness that he and Obama are very open about NOT being willing to give. After Biden's comments about it being patriotic to have your taxes increased and Obama's huge error with "Joe the Plumber" (his error being that he was too open, too honest), you can be sure Obama's campaign is advising them both to step even more lightly around this issue than before, so close to the election.

Do you get the news a day ahead of us, Theodora? Biden made himself look like an idiot. Anyone over the age of 14 knows that laughing and being dismissive at someone whose question is the thing you want to talk about least doesn't fool anyone. Okay... it fools a lot of fools.

How does a reporter asking a question Biden refused to respond to indicative of ANYthing about the McCain campaign, Gladiator? Stop smoking crack.

>>ridiculous republican propaghanda questions<<

So giving the government "redistributive power" to carry out "social and economic justice," and "spreading the wealth" are Obama's own original ideas? We shouldn't dare ask him what he and his VP nominee think of the famous thinkers in history who gave them their ideology? Expecting them to have any response, to clarify if and where they agree and disagree with these thinkers is ridiculous propaganda? This is the election to the highest office in the USA, and you don't think the ticket should be able to answer basic questions about what they believe.

>>if anything the news media is heavily biased towards the left.<<

It's not a matter of opinion. We have the numbers for % viewers of all the major news networks. None of them stray far from 18% republican, 45% democrat except for fox news, which is around 39% republican, 33% democrat. And it's the largest. By faaaaaaaaaaar.

>>its refreshing to see a small effort at balance into the skewed media.<<

She asked McCain honest questions as well. But republicans don't tend to be as dishonest about their ideology or cry when someone asks them about it, apparently, so you didn't hear him refuse to communicate with her entire news outlet after it. He--get this--answered her.

Theodora is off the deep end. I hope Obama doesn't get elected. He'd bring down our standard of living and I might go half as crazy as these nutcases.

>>how is voting for someone racism?
and this is unprooven, i agree some people out there will vote for him just because he's black
but it's still unprooven...<<

The numbers do not lie. Learn math.

He would never have been nominated were he not black. I still cringe to call him black. He had all the perks of his white parent's raising and ignorant [racial slurs for 2 races] still think he must totally understand them and want to give them larger handouts because he grew up so black.

>>do you know what the first thing most republicans will tell you against obama? that he's a terrorrist and is a muslim, with no facts to back that up<<

Oh really? I had no idea. This isn't surprising, though, on account of the fact that it's not true. Why does it always have to be that your opponents are biggots and racists? Why can't you just respond to reality in a dignified manner? Maybe they're just not socialists? Maybe they do not think we should give the government "redistributive power" to carry out "social and economic justice"? Maybe they don't think the government creates AIDS to kill black people? Maybe they don't like people who aren't disgusted by terrorists, or at least don't want one in their nation's highest office? Maybe they don't like his campaign's hypocrisy in dealing with real questions? Maybe they have the most basic understanding of economics (as opposed to no understanding) and don't think higher taxes will help our economy? Maybe they're just not socialialists, so they're not voting for the socialist candidate. There's nothing racist about not being a socialist. There's nothing racist about not wanting Obama's awful policies for this country or being disgusted by the man himself for being a piece of s[ ]t.

Science does not include a faith that life began from a primordial soup of proteins and basic amino acids. Only faith includes such a faith.

It's a scientific hypothesis. Some people figure it to be more likely [almost certain! it has to be! there could be no other way!], some people figure it to be less likely [not. f[ ]in'. possible.]. That's why scientists do tests to see how complicated of amino acids they can create with substances and conditions likely to have existed in the earth's history by processes like lightning. They're searching for evidence to support or contradict this hypothesis. You can equivocate and call it a theory in place of a hypothesis, but ultimately it will be just as accurate or inaccurate a description of how life began regardless of how confident in this proposed method of life-creation a scientist is.

Spoken like someone who truely has no idea what's going on.

That most of Europe has given in to socialist pansies and your economies have been sucking nuts for it doesn't mean that the change in Amerika isn't on the verge of starting that same process in a few days. Those of us who don't have our heads in the sand aren't going to celebrate as our economies sink as low as yours.

My father is Catholic. He has been all of his life. Even he laughed when I told him that some creationists claim that God put fossils in their earth just to fool evolutionists as to the age of the earth. I had to explain. He just couldn't believe it--it was too ridiculous a claim.

? I'm confused by BC Cougar's post. We have the numbers who viewers of all the networks, and, with the exception of fox (39% republican 33% democrat) they're all VERY democrat/liberal/socialist leaning.

There's no debate. The statistics do not lie. The majority of the media is still VERY liberal. Something like 80% of reporters/staffers are still democrat, all broadcast media considered.

It amazes me how horrible McCain is handling this campaign. And I'm not alone.

He's either 90% stupid or there's some funny business going on and he's a traitor.

>>Would it surprise you to know that in the UK the "best of the best" is available to all, even unemployable me? <<

Yeah it would. Since it's not true. You don't have the "best of the best." If your best is available to all, your best isn't very good.

>>people here complain that work is too expensive for employers.. if it is.. why the heck would he give the money to ME if socialized healthcare would be abolished?<<

Why does he pay you as much as he does? The point is, the more you take to waste on inefficient, substandard services, the less he has to work with, the less you have to work with, the poorer your healthcare.
