Re: Obama or McCain?
So funny,
What IF McCain keeps the troops in Afghanistan/Iraq,
It'll be the same cat and mouse game as with Bush right now, do you guys really think this will change it?
I see McCain as another WANNAB Dictator of the World

Joor, that's because you see him as a Republican and not as a candidate. You apparently don't know who McCain is or what he stands for.
the yell, i understand your eagerness to test your new found powers, but using the word [obscenity] isnt against the forum rules, so i'd appreciate it if you didnt edit my posts for the use of the word [vulgarity].
also incase i use it in future posts, "bitch" is only against forum rules if used in name calling, but is not against forum rules when used as a verb.
[If it ain't in the dictionary, the FCC fines for its use, it's one of George Carlin's "7", and my mom still objects to my using it, its probably profanity. See the actual Forum Rules #1.]
wow what a big response ![]()
it's too long to read through but a couple of points
1) i think it was you zwarf that said i would do the same thing, vote through hate that is, i have never voted or been interested in an election before, my mom, my dad, my brother, and 5 of my cousins have never voted before, my grandparents voted once before for algore
, they didn't vote again, or before that, they all voted this time, i can't vote in the primaries cuz i'm in canada right now
, i'll prlly move to america in time to vote in the fall, i already have a citizenship and what not there
but anyways, we all are guna vote this time around, if we had voted out of hate we would have a candidate every year, to me atleast it makes no sense to vote against someone rather than vote for someone
why not vote at all?
2) avogardo i think it was who said obama people vote with hate too, i do not know from atleast 60 of my friends who are guna vote obama, even one person who's voting against mccain, although i know around 11 people who are voting against obama, they get picked on by me
, but anyways obama supporters are mostly newer voters, who haven't voted before, the ones who have i don't know of one who's voting against mccain
and wow, very few dems on IC ![]()
"We want a strong military so that we can exercise power in the world stage."
Ok almost 50% of the world's military spending is the US how much stronger could you possibly need it to be? Are you saying one of the wealthiest nations in the world, spending almost as much as the rest of the world combined on their military is at risk of being out done?
I understand the money is there to be had but most people who say lower taxes, increase spending x make no consideration for the fact that something is going to have to give.
"to me atleast it makes no sense to vote against someone rather than vote for someone"
it makes perfect sense. if Hitler ran for president and you werent thrilled with the cnadidate thats running against him, would you not still attempt to keep Hitler from the presidency by voting against him? Obama is Hitler but worse. i dont see how it doesnt make sense to you. if there are 2 people running for president and 1 of them not winning is in your best interest, why wouldnt you vote against them?

our economy is so [Carterized] because theres all this socialism in the country that we need a large millitary to keep our economy going.
and ofcoarse people know something have to give. republicans want social problems to give and democrats want millitary to give, and neither of them will let the other succeed so we get more spending and lower taxes.
"Obama is Hitler but worse."
and WAMMOOOOO avagardo you just earned yourself the stupidest human on earth, you can claim the trophee from bush once you and him and mccain are in the un-employment line
tell me, cuz i'ma little curious, how is obama worse than a man who brought death upon six million jews for no apparent reason, not to mention the millions of soldiers from countless countries...
i dont see how that is relevant to the point. how about you dont change the subject. im not the moron that doesnt see the reason for voting against someone who you think will be horrible.
you cant blame Hitler for all that, Hitler did not kill six million jews, Germans did. and hey, at least he did alot of good, he did wonders for their economy. Hitler is the scapegoat that the west made; it was Germans who did every single act, its very possible Hitler didnt kill a single Jew or a single person for that matter. If Hitler was in any other country in the World, it wouldnt of happened, he wouldnt of even gained any power.
you made it relevant by bringing it into the argument
and you can't be seriously sticking to that argument avo, c'mon even you should be smart enough to not defend that comment...
if we're guna go with that, then why the hell do we blame osama bin laden? osama was not the one who was drivng the plane into the world trade center...
true hitler was a good leader at first but he gave the damn orders he was dictator his cronies hand picked by him the guy was a raging fethead to boot for christ sake lol so i wouldn't exactly say he was a scapegoat.
as for this thread im un UK so it doesnt matter to me although id go mccain given the choice he seems the much better candidate from what iv seen obama is all talk and he's relying too much on it to wing him through in my opinion he doesnt seem ready for this yet, which country does he want relations with?
*[RPA]Sir SupAll
"Unconditional talks with a nation that supports the destruction of another?"
if its iran the guy needs a slap imo
To my eyes Republics are bad and Democrats are good.
Like in the eyes of others: Christdome is good, Muslim is bad (No offense).
Why would you need "one" leader when the US is a free country. Being democratic gives lots of oppurtunities the US never had.
But thats through my eyes. I'm Dutch, we feel quite resposible for "everything". Some say we're even afraid to delegate.
cptwilk why's it not ok to even try to talk with other leaders? offcourse as obama has mentioned there will be conditions before hand, but why's it not ok just sit and see if you can negotiate rather than say
"oh, you're not with us?"
"lets spend 100 more billion dollars and 4000 lives and millions of innocent lives to obliderate them"
"and while we're at it, lets pretend we're doing good for the world"
like there seriously needs to be an end to the fked up mentality of politicians like bush and mccain, atleast you can excpect things done differently with obama, why not just give him a chance?
> Gladiator wrote:

ok gladiator, please explain to me exactly how people's opinion of Obama is relevant to whether voting against someone is a justifiable reason to vote?
as for osama bin laden. i would say he is partially to blame for many deaths, but that the condition the middle east is in is much more to blame and allowed him the thrive. i would never say that Osama bin Laden killed the people that died in 9/11 like how you say Hitler killed everyone in WWII.

Never said that in the first place. Try again.
Mcain for the win!!
Obama would ruin our great nation. The guy has NO experience and has some pretty questionable assaciations. William Ayers was a terrorist; he was a member of the radical terrorist group Weather Underground. He was involved in multiple terrorist bombings on US soil. On 9/11/01, he was quoted as to saying that he did not have any regrets for the bombings. He said he wished he had done more. Obama conducted a few speeches alongside Ayers and even his own campaign said that he and Ayers are friendly. Anyone who is friendly with a terrorist, especially one that is not sorry for his actions and even wishes he had done more, is not a good canidate for President of the US. Just wait til the debates begin, this alone will destroy him. Most ppl have not yet heard about this, so it will shock all those that are not Kool Aid drinkers.
McCain may not be my first choice, but he is certainly better than Obama!
I don't think Obama would be bad for the US, he would be good... as long as he stuck to repairing the damage the Bush administration has done to the image of the US and left domestic issues to congress and the Senate, places much more democratically elected by the people...
However I think being voted in now would be bad for Obama, so go vote McCain, he won't be anywhere as bad as Bush and will probably do as much good as Obama, then Obama can win in 4 or 8 years (when ever he is ready) and he will be much better. Maybe he can be McCain's VP? Now wouldn't that be funny....
Actually can they do that? McCain chose Obama as his VP and Obama pick McCain as his? I assume it is written down somewhere that can't happen... though how funny would it be?
Obama at anytime would be bad. It may not seem possible, but he could do alot of damage in 4 to 8 years. Can you imagine the damage a national health care system would do to our country. It would be devastating. Maybe when he has a bit of experience under his belt, he can be considered suitable. Even then tho his associations are quite frightening. People like him should not be president, he is a VERY dangerous man.

It makes perfect sense. If Kang gets elected, he'll subjugate the entire world...so you vote for Kodos instead. No...wait....damn X(
i can't untill you take back your stupid hitler statement the one comparing him with obama and the one saying he didn't do shit ![]()
rofl theo
Anyhow, if ppl don't support obama, then it makes perfect sense to vote against him imo. Long as their reasons make sense to themselves.
Personally, I don't really see how building an economy coincides with fighting a war against....umm...whatever we're fighting against.
I was reading on cnn the other day about how the war was even started on false claims by the bush administration and that their was never any suspicion of WMD. Of course that was common sense, but anyway, its just that we are continously spending billions on weapons, troops, etc. etc. and suffering in our home territory.
Basically imo, we are killing ourselves trying to help an area that hates us. McCain isn't as bad as bush. I even agree with a lot of his points. But overall, I just see that his solutions pretty much clash with the current problems. Its not about Dem or Rep to me really, just who is going to make the best decisions. Talking with enemy nations doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. We elect a leader to handle these situations peacefully. Not to go make our lives harder with war war war.
