Info like...seeing players on the map(and not being foced to click through dozens of systems and load dozens of pages) to find someone and see who are near you. Also, actions that require constantly reloading large pages and sending large sql querys(building on planets page) should be done using javascript, behind the scenes.

I agree with these points.. IF IC is to prevail (and be aware that some day like all things, it will die), it needs to be made a little more accessible both to players (i.e. easier to check systems - even releasing VIP map functionality for general use), and to technologies. An iOS, Facebook, and Android app that simply layout the current schema of the game in a slightly different order would work - it doesn't have to have anything that the browser version does now, just needs to be marketed to a different audience. Attacking requires a lot of extra time and effort that shouldn't really be necessary, and though that does make for a niche of players who can use this to their advantage, it also works to discourage new players.
Another thought:
- MERGE GALAXIES.. Right now there are what, 400 IC players? A few years ago MW alone sported 1000+ players, so why divide 400 across 2 galaxies? Admittedly the game has changed in an effort to account for fewer players, but at some point you've got to count your losses and consolidate your assets.. Just MHO.
Good luck you poor poor misguided foohons
RIP IC, you were fun while you lasted
