Actually, I don't think Kemp and Flint have anything against alternative energy. They just don't want the government using price controls to manipulate consumption, nor do they want the government investing in companies that won't deliver a return on their investment.

International relations are ugly and nasty. Nations do not survive without being evil and ruthless. If we don't protect our access to resources in those regions, we will lose them.
It's how the international political system works. If you don't like the West, side with Russia and China. It's what Iran does.
Why is it so difficult for Western intelligentsia to understand that representative government can not be created by political reconfiguration? And now, the Muslim Brotherhood is seizing power, and Egypt has control of Suez Canal. Obviously, the Muslim Brotherhood will ally with China and Russia, and that will have severe economic consequences for the entire Western world.
Now is the time to invade Egypt and install a friendly dictator. It's obvious that democracy can not exist in that part of the world.

I added more thermal paste, Arctic Silver 5. Then I forgot to plug in my fan after taking it apart, and I think I fried my gpu grr. I hope my problems can be corrected by scanning for disk errors and defragging. Otherwise, I will replace the gpu, which my laptop allows. But at least the heat goes to the heat sink now, and the gpu is stable at 50 degrees c.

That's what infuriates me. I live comfortably, yet the government gives people assistance to buy a home. Seriously, wtf? People expect to live in a 2000 sq foot space all by themselves! And don't get me started on how people have children before they can afford them.
What's also ridiculous is that at minimum wage, ~24% in taxes is completely ridiculous.

I pay ~$1,200 on health insurance and ~$1,000 on car insurance annually. My rent expense is $2,800 a year, or $700 month for a two bedroom unit/3 roommates. My utility bill ~$360 a year. My food expense is ~1,800 a year, or ~$150 a month. My gas expense is ~$600 a year, or $50 a month.
My total fixed expenses are thus ~$7,760. When we include taxes:
Federal Income Tax:
8,700 x .10 = 870
6,380 x .15 = 957
Total: 1,827
Social Security and Medicare:
15,080 x .062 = 934.96
15,080 x .0145 = 218.66
Total: 1,153.62
Total Federal + SS/Medicare: 2,980.62
State Taxes:
Lets just say 5%.
15,080 x .05 = 754
Total: $3734.62
So $15,080 - $3734.62 (taxes) - $7,760 (expenses) = $3585.38, or ~300.00 a month of extra income.
As you can see, cost sharing saves money. Although, in practice, I think I would get ~$600 of taxes back from the government. Additionally, I could also move to a state without state income taxes, or carpool with my roommates or use public transportation more often. Moreover, most full time jobs I get tend to pay at least $9.00 an hour here.
I want a party that favors:
1. Political realism
2. Low taxes
3. Minimal economic regulations
4. Increased education spending (equal opportunity)
5. Right to work laws
6. Personal freedoms, including abortions without further regulations
The Republican party is not my party. Democrats aren't either, but at least they are less crazy.

I'm sure 90% tax rates will reduce motivation to produce. But I'm talking about adding 20 brackets, with the top marginal bracket being 60%. Besides, billionaires don't produce anything. They just invest it, and they'll invest in whatever gets them the highest return even with a 60% tax bracket applied to their gains.

I think the taxes of the upper middle class should be lower. Set the top marginal tax bracket to 60%, and have it apply to billionaires.
The problem is that the democrats always believe that the upper middle class are rich. If they want to tax "the rich," then I demand more tax brackets.
