I'm not going to do your reasearch for you, I've told you what you need to reasearch, now all you need to do is do it, just like I have done in the past.
Unless you have a reason to not do the research. Do you have a reason to not do the research? Do you fear being wrong, fear the possibility that you may be biased, prejudiced, perhaps even bigoted, more than you fear hell? Good.
Now there are three possible paths you can take:

1) You can do the research and then understand "the other side".

2) You can not do the research and simply refrain from using the "omg ur an atheist so u must believe that the universe came from nothing because i believe that the universe must have been created by a god and without a god there is nothing and those are the only 2 options omg wtf ur a noob" argument in any future discussion.

3) Or you can not do the research and continue to try and use that argument in the hope you'll eventually "win" because you've finally found someone who has done even less research than you have.

"~sigh~
ok Fokker, where do you presume the Universe came from then? Atheism believes that there is no greater power that can trancends time and space, so if we work in a cause and effect universe, what caused the Universe to come into being?"

That would be where research comes into play, especially if you are serious about understanding the true nature of the universe.

Homework: Strings, superstrings, membranes and bubbles.

If I had made such a speech, a speech so clearly lacking in backing research, I'd have made it my mission to annihlate all copies, especially if I liked being listened to.

"Either the Universe came from nothing..."

Were does this idiotic assumtion come from, apart from a lack of research combined with intentional stupidity?

"I suggest you go dig up some information and give me a proper response or don't argue say anything at all. All your doing is hearsay and a bunch of garble that has no backing, it's just white noise."

Funny how after that idiotic crap that makes up the first sentence of your post it all can be applied to you. Why dont YOU dig up some information and give a proper response or not say anything at all? All YOU are doing is hearsay and garble, supertitious ramblings that have no backing in anything other than prejudice, bigotry and paranoia. Because of your lack of research/intentional stupidity/willful propagation of a lie/whatever your post is nothing more than white noise.

Krg lay dying upon the desk, the intricate combination of the biologies of the countless races that had long ago fathered their race was no match for the sheer brute force of being driven by a blastwave into a grille of reinforced steel. Frgr and one other were crouched upon the floor, leaning back against the desk, as two more kept watch out of the windows of the central tower of the rusting refinery.
Frgr inhaled deeply and stood, grunting sharply as the movement ground the shattered halves of his transverse ribs together. He turned to the unconscious Krg who seemed to be growing paler by the second. It felt quite odd to see him with his purple eyes closed, to see him without his fanged grin. He turned back to the one still crouching on the floor, "We should be in there, we would be finished by now."
"We'd be walking targets, you know that."
"I know, but to just sit here!"
"Don't worry, you'll see plenty of action on the way out."
"But I'll only see it, I'll be on the Terranova with the engines on full burn all the way to Blacken."
"But it'll be a view you'll remember forever."
Frgr nodded, then crouched by the desk again, "I never knew orbital defences could be pointed inwards".

White picked himself up from the stinking waste room floor, shaking his head in disgust. A creaking sound, metal scraping against metal, brought him back to reality. He whirled around and began hammering at the door's edge, trying to bend it enough to get his fingers through. Something exploded and the floor shook, turning the creaking into a terrible groan. White braced himself against the back wall and kicked out with both feet, pounding the door off of its rail with a boom.
There was a screech as he tugged the door open and stumbled out into the ruined ship, a warm breeze blowing through the far end of the passenger compartment. Beyond was open air and forested hills, scarred by the gouged earth that marked their crash, and the ruined engineering section some five hundred meters away which was belching thick smoke swarming with glowing radioactive particles; the engine was ready to blow, taking the ship with it.
He roared an alarm and those that were able quickly staggered to their feet. One had lost their mask but seemed to be able to breathe quite comfortably. That's good, he thought, plenty of Methane. One of the others took him from his thoughts, "We need to take what we can and run."
White turned and quickly checked the cockpit, which was splattered with glowing life; all of the elders were dead, unrecognisably smashed, "Nothing here", he turned and was tossed a spear, "Let's go!"

>>US lawmakers are investigating whether to cut government funding for health education programmes that promote sexual abstinence until marriage.

The move follows a report earlier this year from America's leading health agency, the Center for Disease Control, which revealed one in four teenage girls has a sexually transmitted disease.

Opponents of abstinence education say the approach ignores the fact that teenagers are sexually active and fails to give them accurate medical information or advice on safer sex.

"We get sex-ed classes in school and that should be where teens get the right information - but that isn't happening," says 15-year-old Mildred, from Arizona, who volunteers as a peer educator with the pro-choice organisation Planned Parenthood.

"They don't touch on subjects like sexuality, STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), birth control - it's not allowed because of abstinence-only education. It leaves you on a cliff-hanger - and a lot of teenagers become sexually active in their middle school years."

"Teens are curious and they want to experiment and if they know what's out there and they have the correct information, they're going to know how to protect themselves and prevent an unwanted pregnancy and an STD," adds Maryland high school student Melissa.

"Putting up a wall and saying 'don't have sex' makes them more curious and wanting to know what it is. But if you tell them the straight facts they're going to know how to protect themselves. It's about taking care of yourself."

Teen pregnancy

Planned Parenthood estimates that two thirds of teenagers will have experienced sexual intercourse by the time they leave school.

And with some 750,000 teenage pregnancies a year, America has one of the highest teen birth rates in the developed world.

Exactly my point.

>and that the effect of prairs/praying isnt easily researched smile and the subject is of such nature ppl pro and con will find studies to suit their explanation<

What's so hard to study about it? People either pray or they don't, it either works or it doesn't.

I have never read an article about or even heard of prayer being more successful than good old fasioned positive thinking.

The Wardancers wanted to do in a lab what had happened in real life (by accident) to them, but better.
I think that once created the Wardancers tried to exterminate them utterly says something about how successful the experiment was; too much so.
But this was so long ago that it is almost mere legend to both races, so the truth of the matter is still open to debate.

The truth of the matter is nobody yet knows the truth of the matter, but I would not be surprised if this turns out to be a reapeat of the "other" spy plane incident, the one that buggered up the Paris talks.

Maybe it's a figure of speech; because the ships have AI advanced enough to have a personality they feel protective of their crew?
