I agree this is useful.
But I prefer this to be be a 'strat' thing. I mean, too easy to send fleets to yourself, then let someone build for you, then u take back straight away. I prefer there's still some level of coordination or forward planning going on to achieve stuff -_-.

Welcome all to Mafia XXXIII!! Arby will come in later and Theme-ise, but I wanted to get things underway ![]()
The following are the characters in this game. These have been allocated at random:
- 1 x Serial Killer - Uncle Jessie
- 1 x GodFather (Pro-Mafia) - Boss Hog
- 1 x Senior Mafia (Pro-Mafia Secret Role) - Rosco P Coltrane
- 2 x Mafia (Pro-Mafia) - Deputy Cletus Hogg and Deputy Enus Strake
- 2 x Cops (Pro-Town) - Bo Duke and Luke Duke
- 1 x Special Townie (Pro-Town Secret Role) - Cooter Davenport
- 1 x Doctor (Pro-Town) - Daisy Duke
- 12 x Townies (Pro-Town)

**** ROLES ****
- The Serial Killer will attempt to kill 1 player per night phase. Serial Killer appears as Townie to Cops and cannot be killed at night.
- The Mafia will decide on one victim per night-phase.
- The Godfather has the final say in the night kill, and has the responsibility to notify the game-moderators of both the target and the assassin. The Godfather will appear to be a regular Townie to the cops and cannot be killed at night. If lynched, the Mafia will elect a new Godfather.
- The Senior Mafia member has a Pro-Mafia Secret Role.
- The Cops know each other and will use their investigative skills to investigate one person each night. They will choose who conducts the investigation. The Godfather and Serial Killer appear as Townie to their investigations.
- The Pro-town Secret Role, is exactly that.
- The Doctor will protect one player every night. The chosen player will be saved from a murder that night. Doctor cannot target the same person two nights in a row. The Doctor cannot heal themselves.
- Everybody will try to Lynch their suspected Mafia members during the day.
**** NIGHT PHASE ****
During the night phase the special roles perform their duties. They should ingame Torqez and Arby3 with their instructions, before the Night Deadline.
**** DAY PHASE - LYNCHING ****I
During the day phase, the players will find out who has been murdered. All players can then vote on who they think are the Mafia members. This is the lynching process. In the event of a draw, the lynching will be postponed by a couple of hours, allowing people to change their vote. If after the second deadline there still is a draw, there will be no lynching. Once the results are in, the chosen player will be lynched to death and their role will be revealed. The day-phase is over and the night phase begins.
**** WHO WINS? ****
The Mafia will win if they manage to kill everyone else off.
Serial Killer wins if he is the last person alive.
Townies win if they manage to kill off all the Mafia members and the Serial Killer.

Everyone is allowed to post in the thread to discuss who they think are the Evil Muppets or try to make themselves less suspicious. You may NOT quote any part of messages sent by the game moderators, either ingame, in e-mail or in IRC. Doing so is regarded as cheating and will result in your sudden death, and you will be banned from future games.
You cannot edit nor delete your posts.
If anyone misses the lynching voting on 2 occasions, they will automatically die at the Lynch, along with the voted Lynchee.
If you die, the game is over for you and you are not permitted to discuss the game with any of the people still playing. Doing so will result in a ban from future games. Please don't spoil it for everyone else.

I think this was looked at before, but it's too hard to hard code for every situation.
For e.g., there are times when someone wants to attack into a napped core system, to remove someone else - and they're willing to trade/give up the planet later. I think there's no set standard way to define cores or w/e, and tbh I've never been (as a player) of the opinion of standardising this.
Who know's, maybe if there's enough demand.
Tbh, not something I am personally gonna look at just atm - unless there's an overwhelming need for it.
Also, it's hard to code to prevent every bit that relates to " like I said most people are stupid and can't seem to stay away from the agreed cores".

Perhaps important msgs for now, you could use the important msg thingy.

Doesn't stop you from attacking and exploring into it. But it allows NAPped fams to be able to trade planets in those specified systems - I believe.

Yep, we need more transparency to the players ...which is our focus at the moment.
Hence the more announcements, the Changelog, and in general more participation. We're trying hard to keep the players involved now ![]()
