Oooh! A singles bar! I wonder how many of its singles are infact single? Maybe if I count the people who don't look desperate to chuck their muck tonight... hmm... just me... Maybe I'll just do what I normally do and follow the gilrs to their usual hideout: The Gay bar!

I got owned? I'll have to take your solemn word on that seeing as though I still have no idea what that muddle is about.
If there any any more childish remarks or tactics you'd like to use then take this opportunity because I am currently requesting that a mod close my thread. At least one person today will handle my requests like an adult, and quite frankly I'm surprised it has to be a Mod.

So? They didn't do the Queens Birthday either, does that mean they hate Britain too?

I disagree because I can disagree without fear of repercussion due to the fact that I don't play the game any more.

So you know, the Wardancers, on the Crbrs, are following a series of beacons into Cy'tan territory to ask nicely for a big power source.

That's the point, if you can't clear up your post so that it is much clearer as to what is addressing what then the discussion will have ended and the thread will have to be closed (The original poster still has that power don't forget).

Shame, I was wondering what our less heretical friends thought of the seperation of creationist theory into the religious education classroom in the UK.

The Cy'Tan, the creations, how far they had come in the millennia passed, how far they had come since their early, brutal days, since the time when they brought a galaxy to its knees with their artificially superior strength, speed, skill and ghostly psychic abilities that rivalled those of even the Dreamweavers and the Partaxians.

The resulting genocidal bloodhunt spanned the galaxy, uniting its people in a way not seen since. It was hard to say if there had ever been such a union before, little of anything survived the chaos, especially records. Those times had come to be viewed as the early days, the start of a new era, and the creations became history, a warning for the future, a mistake to not repeat.

Yet somehow some of them had survived what must have been an ages long journey accross the empty void between galaxies...

"That's a lot of thinking time."
"What?"
"Nothing. Navigation, are we there yet?"
"I don't even know where we're going, sir, I'm just following these becons."

When the others find out, how will they... ah, no matter. History is nothing but a story now.
I am so bored.

That is a lot, possibly even enough for people to reevaluate their visions of evil left wing atheistic university lecturers and college teachers. I mean, left wingers can't believe in god can they?

Also, I wonder if you are aware that in the UK all schools MUST hold an assembly every morning, and that during that assembly there MUST be prayer.
I mention this because it is relevant to understanding. You know, background information.

<FOKKER what is the correlation between Home School and Religion ??<

People who disagree with what is being taught in schools usually hold these feelings as a result of a conflict between the curriculum and their own beliefs. Or, in other words, Religious nuts choose home schooling.

<How about, just so most of you know, Most socialist Govts run their children through public education.
What correlation does this have ??>

So?

<snip>

Sounds like one of those evil schools we have in europe, you know which ones I mean, those ones apparently run by Communists, Socialists, Unionists and Bogeymen. In fact... funded by but not run by... it IS one of those evil socialist institutions! Argh! The Euros are invading! To the hills!

<But, what if they did ??  What is the coorelation ?>

Provable, researchable scientific theorem > Religious scripture
Especially when the core of the discussion is a school, a place where we send our children to enable them to enter the adult, working world with the best possible (to be read most useful) start.

<Cant have evil religious people raising their children ??>

Religious people having and raising children is not part of the discussion and therefore your baseless assertion is irrelevant. And highly assumtive.

<Unless they are radical Islam in the Middle East....that we just blame on America and Israel ??   Its their fault.>

Irrellevant. Baseless. Assumptive.

I wonder how many people are confusing god with religion? An intelligent person could quite easily have a problem following an organised religion, but does that mean they do not believe in god? Is it not true that alot of the (apparently) greatly feared intellectual elite of academics and scientists admit to hold beliefs regarding a personal god?

Commander Krg and Subcommander Erf spoke in hushed tones on the bridge of the Crbrs, leaning so close to each other that their visors were almost touching, "Already?"
"Don't forget we weren't in a hurry to get here."
"I know that, but this is still sooner than expected. So what do we do?"
"Well everything is now being completed much quicker on the colony, so everything has to be stepped up."
"But things are so unstable now, it could-"
"I know, I know, but a shift in the power-balance is not something we need to worry about any more, it will not be our problem."
"Should I contact the UEF then?"
"No, I'll talk to them, just put me through..."
"Time to make our alliance even more one sided. They're responding, on screen."
"Ah, Admiral! We need a power source, a big one, in our colony system."

_Subcommander Erf found Commander Krg running laps of the observation deck, his brow furrowed with thought, "I see their medical equipment works quite well" Erf said as he joined Krg, his armour clanking against the deck as he kept pace, "Too well, the medical team are in the brig." Erf frowned, "Why?" Krg lead the pair towards the hydroponics bay to port, "They stole some of their medical equipment, which has been found and sent back. As a show of good will I put the medics in the brig and sent our friends details of our armaments." Erf grinned and shook his head, "Now that they've seen what we can do." Krg stopped, "Yes. About that-" Erf put up a six fingered gauntlet, "Before you chew me out you should know that the Talus empire has grown increasingly unstable, which is having an effect on our friendly neighbourhood fleet, and some members don't like us, but that should not be a problem for a while as they now know we are not an insignificant force."

_They began walking through the hydroponics bay which was awash with bright blue light and black looking plants, "Hmm," Krg said after a few minutes, "That explains why this was so easy to get," Krg removed a data slip from a pocket in his light civillian clothes, "It is a report by that Unification ship, the one that scanned the Crbrs." Erf nodded, "You are thinking that this is a 'we want you to know what we know' situation?" Krg nodded, "Exactly, a way of keeping us on a short lead. They may be a little concerned about the state of our relations, this alliance has been more beneficial to us than for them." As they left the hydroponics bay a grin slowly crept accross Krg's face, "Which brings back to who deasn't like us, and why?" Erf spread his gauntleted hands wide, "Why is easy; for most of them we present a problem regarding planet grabbing in the old unified Kallum sectors, and our membership of the Fleet gives us a legitimate territorial claim in that area-"
"-And protection from Fleet... oh, I see what you mean. Things are delicate right now, aren't they?" Erf nodded sagely as they reached the heavy door to Commander Krg's quarters, "I shall return to the bridge."
"No, no, I want you to see this too. Come in."

_Commander Krg's quarters were sparsely decorated, with only the main room painted a colour other than white, with Krg choosing bright red. There was one table, bearing a remote keypad, with two chairs either side of it facing a console mounted into the centre of the back wall, to one side was a wide sofa with an antique stereograph standing in front of it next to an uneven stack of stereograms. The sofa smelled strongly of something that Erf suspected was only legal for tax reasons, "I'll just get the console to scan this." Krg placed the data slip into the reader.

_Samantha hit record and the machine began to automatically transcribe her words, turning each syllable into a piece of encoded data. She listed the appropriate numbers and codes before listing her full name and rank followed by the date as she began reviewing the scanning records from the secondary science and tactical stations.

_"Their engines seem to be nothing more than very big ion drives. According to these readouts they are being powered by some kind of basic plasma reaction that reaches deep into subspace, not very efficient but immensely powerful. Their long range weapons appear to be little more than simple blasters, used primarily for picking off incoming ordnance it seems. Primary weapons use some form of basic plasma, again reaching deep into subspace and again more powerful than... Holy christ! Primary weapon seems to be designed specifically to counter energy-based shields, the Kallum shields can't deflect the plasma, it's just stuck there, burning! The smaller cruisers can't handle it, their shields are overloading... Hmm, they're turning on a heavy cruiser, looks like a dual explosion plus the plasma was too much for its aft shields... looks like all of the Wardancer plasma cannons are firing, I'd say thirty, predictable results against the Kallum armour.  That's odd, I'm reading metal coming from the Wardancer's flank, but they haven't been hit... Requesting higher resolution.

_"The Wardancers are using cannons, I can't tell how they're working in a vacuum but they are, and they're tearing the Kallum ship to pieces. There must be billions of hull-breaches on board, you can see a fine mist around the vessel as the atmosphere condenses in open space. It looks a little like a comet.

_"I personally would not like to come up against one, although I do not doubt that my own victory would be certain I also do not doubt the heavy damage and losses we would incurr. They are as equally determined in their goals as we are in ours, and for that reason alone I reccomend caution; Their presence in the outer arm is inconvenient but I doubt it will become troublesome without outside interference".

You're kidding right? So far three, maybe four, different people have delved deep into what WAS Kallum territory with little difficulty.
Face it, wether you want it to be this way or not the Kallum have been removed as a threat, there is currently no big-bad-wolf in the galaxy... although why you need one to tell a story is beyond me tongue

I will admit now that the only reason I'm posting this article is to confuse Americans. Why do I think this will confuse Americans? Because the parents decision has nothing to do with religion!

For those of you that don't know; most home schooled children in the USA are usually home schooled by their parents because of religious reasons i.e. Cuppajoe Junior High refuses to teach Creationism in Science class.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/7449484.stm

I say good luck to them, but I hope the parents will be as thoroughly vetted as teachers.

I think this theory of "The One" was invented by a well intentioned friend of someone whos' lover had left them, or someone who had become terminally depressed as a result being forever single, probably due to some kind of flaw like ugliness or stupidity.
This probably sounds harsh to you, perhaps even brutal, but before you judge me, before you make some form of assumtion regarding the state of my love life based on this simple statement, think about this:

When was the last time you used/heard used the "The One" theory? Was it when that girl had been dumped yet again by yet another bastard who was doinking her sister yet again? Was it when you were making your ugly/fat/stupid/disabled friend feel better about their eternal celibacy? Does this phrase ring a bell? "Hey, you are a lovely person, you are kind and caring, the right one is out there, you just have to find them"

See?
