Thank you, Schniepel, for yet more useless numbers. tongue Rather than repeatly explain why countless numbers don't support your point (I have to wonder why you post them) as I have been, I'm just going to point out that you didn't accompany your German/US murder/GUN murder comparison with any explanation of what this is supposed to tell us about firearms and violence/crime, as I've been doing with UK/AU/city statistics (over time, compared before/after gun bans). You didn't throw in any such explanation because nothing we can draw from the numbers you post supports your claims that gun control reduces violence or crime or anything but the opposite. Good day.

He's just not familiar with how we produce housing in the West. In his country you can ship mud and straw to most any location and it can be used without a problem.

You had no response to it. That's probably why you were still angsty enough to open this topic weeks later. It's silly to post this garbage like anyone cares that you can knock down strawmen while you continue to ignore the substance which has been posted which you have no response for. Whether you just don't want to respond or you can't, posting a thread highlighting this is just stupid.

1. Yes
2. No
3. You don't have a choice.

Anyone who uses phrases like "relative truth" and words like "truths" is, in fact, retarded.

When I see educated people rape the English language and speak of "multiple realities," it makes me sad. We have better words for what they're trying to say. They're just too stupid to not misuse words that have other, real, meanings. It's like they're living in a cloud of metaphorical BONG SMOKE.

I'll keep this brief. I'll be blunt:

Schniepel, you are a moron. If you are not going to address the actual arguments against your position, don't bother. You're just spamming the forum with a topic which you failed to respond to previously and continue to now.

Yeah, and since most of our telephone poles are for holding power lines, let's just string them up all over the trees! Another brilliant idea!

Yeah there is. I have a checking account. Sometime between age 16 and, in your case, 30-40 you should open one. They keep track of all of my incoming and outgoing shipments of resources. Hell I even link mine to another account not in my name to make fraud and cheating taxes more convenient.

>> Canada has fewer murders/1000 people than the US, we also have a much lower crime rate in general, and stricter gun control.  Exactly what about that destroys the claim that gun control is effective.<<

Canada has a lower murder rate than the US. So what? Our concern is the effect of firearms on murder rate. The US has a higher murder rate for whatever number of reasons. Did Canada formerly have a higher murder rate than the US then its murder rate dropped as a consequence of gun control to below the US's murder rate? No. It didn't. You're comparing unrelated statistics and ignoring causality.

When you look at violent crime rates in countries before and after enacting strict gun control, such as AU and UK, you find they as much as more than double in some areas and increase consistantly. This statistic shows us something. Comparing the relatively high murder rate of the USA to a dirt farming village in South America or Africa does not.

I just read up on his resource-based economy thread again and chose not to reply rather than give my instinctual "don't bother with the angry 12 year old." I sound like a broken record but I'm just responding to the same completely retarded nonsense over and over again. Most of the nonsense he repeats, from encouraging the use of things which do not exist, to encouraging some sort third world resource trade, is just so completely retarded.

They probably won't notice. Their violent crime rates have all spiked upward; it's more comforting to keep their heads in the sand and brag about their nations' superior civilized laws over the internet. They'd just be thankful the trains were not derailed with GUN violence!!

>>Ok, so, if no one else has anything to add, we are agreed that it would be a good thing for individuals to stop using money in favor of exchanging resources / labor instead?<<

Yeah, because having to carry a ton of iron is convenient when I want to purchase groceries for a week. And carrying a huge volume of cotton or straw is no trouble when I want to buy a new oil filter. Money is useful. We're NEVER going to do away with it. NOBODY agrees with you. You are silly.

>>No, I responded to all of the even remotely relevant arguments, and am waiting for some more to deal with.<<

Don't be mean his eyes have not fully developed yet. He's lucky if he comprehends half of what is posted in response to him. Or maybe that's more brain hasn't fully developed yet. Well, they say it doesn't finish until the early 20s. Def not there yet.

>>The notion that nations would necessarily go to war without trade is erroneous.<<

...No. It is not. I'd kill you and take your shit in a second if you had shit and I lived in a poverty stricken desert shithole. And so would millions of other people. They do regularly even with trade.

Jesus christ this is the dumbest nonsense I've seen. Don't you kids bicker enough at school? "Well if someone did this..." "Well if someone had this in their hand...."

Such pointless ignorant rambling. Nobody cares whether a gun is in someone's hand or not. That's the great thing about hands, you can pick things up whenever you feel like it. If someone has a firearm and gets shot trying to pull it out of his coat he got shot because he's a dumbass. The fact is firearms prevent crimes and protect people. Cry more. Quotes like: "but aside from that I don't see the effectiveness." Nobody cares what you see. If you had an education you would see statistics which support one claim and destroy yours. Your ignorance is not an argument.
