you would think that, wouldnt you? you're confused and you find comfort thinking that you're no different then anyone else and we're all confused little children.

and avo it will improve our economy because we will after recalling troops have stopped spending millions everyday on a war that i in my opinion think is useless, and we could then use those millions to better the lives of americans, rather than worsen the lives of iraqis and americans by continuing the war

what would obama spend the money on to improve the economy?

spider, we are basically learning from past mistakes, we left Afghanistan in ruins after we helped them defeat the soviets, and the taliban and Osama Bin Laden thrived in it, making a stable Iraq is in our long term interests. Also, how is leaving Iraq going to improve our economy if Obama is president? its not.

Yes but if a doctor advise you to stop, or gives you a away to crontol your weight it will help your health. And many people will do what your doctor advises you to do, at least my country we do."

if you know smoking will kill you and you still smoke, why would you stop when your doctor tells you it will kill you and to stop? especially if your doctor is getting paid to get you to stop smoking, i'd take his advice alot less seriously. also, do you think doctor's in the US dont advise their patients to stop smoking or loose weight?

whats next, you gonna claim that the US having the highest murder rate per capita is because of bad healthcare too?

thats not something that you should be using to back up your source, it basically says your source fabricates information.

thats not an explanation for you infant rate to be higher than others since that does not happen in Europe, Canada or Australia"

that was not what you asked me to do

"that is done by my country. Each family has a family doctor that is responsible for our health, he is payed more if he do no smoke and have no obisity problems. can us non universal healthcare achieve this? no."

thats not controlling your diet...

"
Read above about what my family doctor does. US system is lack of preveting healthcare"

everyone knows the dangers of smoking, reckless driving, and obesity; without forcing people to stop, there is no way to stop it. you cant blame it on healthcare.

> Freelancer - less infant mortality rates means very little, at a guess - that is one issue that would not be denied in a universal health care setting.  That said, it's standard belief that anything the private sector can do, the government can take twice as much money, and twice as much time, to do half as well.  Ideally? Yeah, it'd be great - but this isn't an ideal world, so you do the best you can with what you have.

However, higher life expectancy?  Think about it.  The U.S. Burger and fries staple?  *Raging* obesity as a nation?  Smoking numbers?

Bad news - US has more cars (deaths), more obesity (death), and more smoking (death), per capita than all those countries... healthcare can only do so much for a nation that so happily enjoys killing ourselves.  You're point is fine - but the issue is that you don't want to delve down into something and prove it, you want to prove what you believe :-p

And gladiator - if we were in person, I would ask you about 5 broad questions about obama's policies - i bet you that you wouldn't get a one correct :-p
Secondarily, gladiator, you hated kerry?  Interesting... since he and obama are dang near the same person :-P

im just lazy and dont feel like doing the research to compare the car deaths in the US to other countries for example. those numbers obviously prove very little because of the so many factors that influence infancy death rates and life expectancy, and i shouldnt have to look up multiple ones for these idiots to realize it.

and barak obama isnt the same as kerry, barak is black, younger, and a better public speaker and thats all the reasons why he is more popular.

there are alot of ways a better infant death rate or better life expectancy to be achieved for example. if anything is going wrong during the pregnacy or during the birth, if they would immediatly abort the child, regardless of the parent's wish's; it would drastically reduce the infant death rate. if you controlled your population's diet and exercise, and put people on life support for as long as possible when they're near death, you would drastically increase life expectancy. does any of those make the country have better health care? i dont think so.

they mean nothing by themselves.

ok gladiator, please explain to me exactly how people's opinion of Obama is relevant to whether voting against someone is a justifiable reason to vote?

less infant mortality rate and larger life expectancies doesnt mean better healthcare. if i was in need of life threatening surgery, the best in the world is inside my country's border.

saying you spend less per capita then the US on healthcare isnt saying much. you think that making the US's healthcare completely government funded is going to get rid of all the inefficiencies in out system? its going to do the exact oppositte create many more. one day far in the future i might be pro healthcare for all, but first the inefficiencies need to be caught and taken care of.

really sad...

ah, the leftist propaganda finally rolls out. ok, gladiator. if you're so noble and would spend acouple nickels and dimes instead of let someone die, whats the cutoff point? how much is a human life worth to you? would to pay $100? $1,000? $10,000? surely a life is worth more then $100,000, right? you're a selfish bastard for not donating every dollar you earn to save people's lives.

he did bad for the country, however, there was a breakthrough in business technology that led to an economic boom, that he had absolutely nothing to do with, but ignorant people often credit him with. he was also an extremely racist president, he did nothing to stop massive genocides in africa, but when there was a smaller one in europe, he intervened.

ok gladiator, please explain to me exactly how people's opinion of Obama is relevant to whether voting against someone is a justifiable reason to vote?

as for osama bin laden. i would say he is partially to blame for many deaths, but that the condition the middle east is in is much more to blame and allowed him the thrive. i would never say that Osama bin Laden killed the people that died in 9/11 like how you say Hitler killed everyone in WWII.

2,919

(88 replies, posted in Politics)

i dont see how that is relevant to the point. how about you dont change the subject. im not the moron that doesnt see the reason for voting against someone who you think will be horrible.

you cant blame Hitler for all that, Hitler did not kill six million jews, Germans did. and hey, at least he did alot of good, he did wonders for their economy. Hitler is the scapegoat that the west made; it was Germans who did every single act, its very possible Hitler didnt kill a single Jew or a single person for that matter. If Hitler was in any other country in the World, it wouldnt of happened, he wouldnt of even gained any power.

"Taxes are paid to the state to make the state do stuff. And those stuff are good (except your wars...) for the citizens."

taxes are stolen and then squandered on the corruption in government. the whole idea of taxes is based on oppression. you think you know how people should spend their money better then they do, so you want your government to take their money by force. if you want to do good with your money, support a charity of some sort; if your cause is great enough, you wont have to force anyone to pay the money. But supporting taxes is supporting armed robbery and slavery.

2,922

No, Obama will make me pay more in taxes, he will do more damage to the economy then McCain will, he will push legislature through congress that discriminates against my race.  the only reason to vote for Obama is out of fear of what McCain might do in foreign affairs.

Ok almost 50% of the world's military spending is the US how much stronger could you possibly need it to be?  Are you saying one of the wealthiest nations in the world, spending almost as much as the rest of the world combined on their military is at risk of being out done?

I understand the money is there to be had but most people who say lower taxes, increase spending x make no consideration for the fact that something is going to have to give.

our economy is so [Carterized] because theres all this socialism in the country that we need a large millitary to keep our economy going.

and ofcoarse people know something have to give. republicans want social problems to give and democrats want millitary to give, and neither of them will let the other succeed so we get more spending and lower taxes.

"to me atleast it makes no sense to vote against someone rather than vote for someone"

it makes perfect sense. if Hitler ran for president and you werent thrilled with the cnadidate thats running against him, would you not still attempt to keep Hitler from the presidency by voting against him? Obama is Hitler but worse. i dont see how it doesnt make sense to you. if there are 2 people running for president and 1 of them not winning is in your best interest, why wouldnt you vote against them?

the yell, i understand your eagerness to test your new found powers, but using the word [obscenity] isnt against the forum rules, so i'd appreciate it if you didnt edit my posts for the use of the word [vulgarity].

also incase i use it in future posts, "bitch" is only against forum rules if used in name calling, but is not against forum rules when used as a verb.

[If it ain't in the dictionary, the FCC fines for its use, it's one of George Carlin's "7", and my mom still objects to my using it, its probably profanity.  See the actual Forum Rules #1.]
