I know of this rule. But if the larger part of the population votes for Obama anyway, what does it matter? You're always going on about giving the freedom to the people to decide. They have, and they didn't care!
Besides, it's a stupid rule, get rid of it..

There's a seconbd part that says anyone alive during the time of the American Revolution was also eligible to run.  That clause is now void.

snopes.com says it started in early 2008 and Obama released records in June 2008, which is late into the primary season.  The convention was August.

It could be true that Obama was born in a sloppy state that treats birth certificates as secrets.  What's the harm in demanding the letter of the Constitution be followed, here?  That they'll come for ME, next?  I had to get a certified copy of my birth certificate when I turned 18.  That anybody running for president has to bring one? whoop de crap.
