Three or so months ago? Three or so months ago, the violence in Iraq had dramatically decreased. Then, Al-Maliki got some balls and stood up to the Sadr Militia, causing militias to start acting up again. Yet, the Iraqi government (and now Iran) has begun to alienate Sadr and his militia to the point where their political power is diminishing and their militias are slowly becoming the enemies of the majority of the Iraqi citizens.
No one wants to be in Iraq for a decade or more. I have never heard anyone say "I want to be in Iraq for a decade." No one has said that. Yet, those who don't support the effort seem to fail to see the risks of just pulling out. Are we forgetting how easily Iraq could slip into destabilization to the point where terrorist organizations could influence the area and even gain far more recruits? Like I said, those who hate Bush have no reason to hate him. You have reasons to hate his policy, to hate how things were run, but not the man itself. It's unwarranted. People hating Bush because of his policies is like me hating my boss for putting me on a ridiculous work schedule. Yet, I like my boss. She's fun and light-hearted, I just don't like the way things are run.
So, yes. It's unwarranted. By the way, how ridiculous would it be if a group was willing to help people in a country get food, but once that food gets stolen by armed militias, the group doesn't want to go in and make sure the people get that food by having troops on the ground? The democrats are hypocrites through and through. Just look at dear Obama. He's touted campaigning fair and positive yet, his campaign has fallen back to attack ads.
