Re: 9 player fam Strats

I would think 2 bankers, 3 all-rounders (CF+resource), 4 attackers would make most sense. A really good banker can easily support 3-4 players financially - definitely 2 attackers.

Re: 9 player fam Strats

I have looked a bit in to the changes in the game since I stopped playing and it seems going with Cash and Resource is complicated. It only would pay if your tactics were to maximise Construction science and to also maximise attacking science. It would not be optimal to invest in either economy or resource science.

I would therefore think that 1 population banker, 2 CF bankers, a Cf attacker, 2 resource bankers and 2 resource attackers is a good mix. This leave one person to probably specialise in operations. They would probably start the round resource-based, they would never invest in science, and after expo-phase would slowly give away most of their planets to the resource bankers. They would typically keep planets that offered a strategic base for attacks.

I don't really use MSN

Re: 9 player fam Strats

mace you basically wouldn't do that, 4 attackers is silly.  You'd want something like 1 pop 6 bankers, either cf or resoucer (resourcers should be partax) and 2 hc attackers.

4 unspecialised attackers would lose too 2 hc attackers...

Re: 9 player fam Strats

i think 3 attackers is better than 2, and CF attacker is surely a waste.

Re: 9 player fam Strats

well, a 9 player family on its own, can play like that, and most of the other ideas you guys have as well.
but a 9 player 3 ally strat is that the attackers integrate to give more attacking power with a broder range.
that way one can build a strong opp family to assist in other ways the the nOObs don't understand yet.
