Not quite. That it doesn't conform to your ideals is your problem, but it's still one of the clearest written pieces of code I've ever seen. MVC is a good way to make small projects confusing. Not to mention templating is slow. We're working on a solution for 2.0 to improve extensibility (it's one of the reasons 1.3 failed).

. Gathering the requirements, creating a design and setting up a database alone would take more then 2 days...
No, it wouldn't. You just need to know what you're doing. Experience and all that. Try getting some before making a comment like that.

Why is it nonsense? Why would you have something if it'll never be used and only slows the software down?

Riiiiight, OO is the best for websites... dear god man, get your head out of your arse. OO design just brings extra complication and overhead to something that is inherently procedural and pretty much stateless. Please do enlighten me for what you use OO on your websites, I'm intrigued.
The last fully OO project I've had the 'pleasure' of working with was eZ Publish. Talk about OO gone wrong. You try finding a bug in a function in layer upon layer of useless abstraction.
I was planning on writing you a big explanation on it, but decided it would be useless anyway.
> But when you have business logic, user interface, data modelling, and everything else under the sun mashed into one file -- we call that shit coding and piss poor design.
And some of us call that concise and fast coding. Sure, there are some improvements to be made, but there is nothing inherently wrong with it. Once again, you just have to see what fits your goals. In the case of FluxBB there is little need for a full OO design, MVC templating, ...

Well... it's been a laugh seeing someone accept the job. It's Adoross' choice, but I'm still quite positive he'll start crying soon.
