So, why is it that I'm a bigot, small minded, mislead, and intolerant if I don't agree with CT's choice of homosexuality, but he's a hero, strong, and a growing individual if he bashes on Texans, Christians, and "the right wing"

Interesting... Two groups, both believing the other one is wrong, but because it fits the popular view point, one is prejudice and the other is to be saluted...

Double standard, CT (and anyone else)?  Where's your tolerance?  Why the closed mind?  Can't you just be accepting of other people?  Doesn't it set something off in your head that the thing you desire so much, you refuse to give as well?

And as far as any burning goes, how about a little combination of your signature and that post.  Bush is murdering innocent women and children, while saddam was burning them at the stake, and isn't it interesting that you didn't care a bit until it was an american going to war to try to stop it? 
Children are being kidnapped, brainwashed, tortured, and forced to be soldiers and murderers in Africa, and oddly enough, it seems like those medieval minded Christian rapists you so hate are the ones attempting to bring an end to it and to make a change through campaigns such as invisible children.  You?  You just like complaining, pretending you have a hard life, and living out your social injustices.
Keep worrying about those books though, while the rest of the world dies and you complain so happily from behind your computer screen.  In the meantime, the 'knights of the round table' and 'crusaders' will be over in Africa starting orphanages, or perhaps doing free surgeries.

Pardon me if I'm off here, but it seems the Christian community does a lot more as a community to contribute to the rest of the world than basically any other culture inundated in our society.

2) Fair enough on you not knowing about Iraq, but you still are not facing the realities of the former situation either
3) Has Europe "conquered" Uganda? What about Rwanda?  South Africa - sure, why not.  But face it, there are millions of Africans, Chinese, and everything in between that has never even seen "the white devil."  You're bringing up stuff in A) Isolated areas and B) in your reference to true conquering - from long ago.
4) There aren't just as many NGO's as non-faith based groups, that's a fact   And if there are, then do it by ratio of population - all the non-Christians NGO's vs. the same number of mission-based groups sponsored by Christians.

Televangelists?  Those aren't Christians man.  Maybe they'll go to heaven, I don't know, but they aren't Biblical.  They've strayed from their roots, they've lost their goals, and they're missing the point of this whole thing, no way around it

As to your piece about hating Christians who try to convert others, I think here is what you are missing and/or stuck up on - as are a lot of Christians.  There are those out there who take it like a notch on the belt, or an argument to win, etcetera - human nature is as human nature does.  But in reality, any Christian who isn't trying to tell you about what they believe and why they believe it, is in their own eyes, doing you a huge dis service.  Frankly, I couldn't care less from a logical, numerical, or "i'm right and you're not" point of view if you become a Christian or not - I care because (lets say you live next door to me instead of a few thousand miles away) by my own beliefs, I have a friend who is going to go through eternal suffering, and that's not ok with me.  If i weren't "trying to convert you" I'd be doing the very worst thing I ever could to you. 

What you seem to miss a bit is what Biblically drives Christians - it's not having more Christians, it's the fact that I honestly believe non-Christians go to Hell.  Is that a fallacy?  You may think so.  But if I believe that, which I do, then wouldn't you want me to act on it?  To seek after you?  To give you a chance?

If I'm a mechanic and notice something pretty obviously wrong with your engine that will leave you stranded on the long vacation I know you're taking, wouldn't you want me to tell you?  That's why Christians are up in your face, friend - not because I think you're a "[rainbow lollypop]" a "queer" or a "sinner" - but because (biblically!) I care about you and want something better for you than you want for yourself.

So just remember, if you go to the source, instead of the flawed followers, you'll see we have some different motivations than a scarred, tormented, twisted world may think.  Am I saying there aren't some major douche bag Christians out there? No, no I am CERTAINLY not - I get more angry at Christians than I do any one else - because we should live at the standard of morality, kindness, and love given to us and we so infrequently do.  But know that if someone close to you is telling you about God - they care about you, and that's why.

As to Americans?
Yeah, people suck, it doesn't matter where your from, just a fact of life.
