Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

By the way, regardless of what is thought regarding my work and my commitment to said work (ie, this comic) I want it noted that I've all ready made twenty-two episodes using screens from the first three episodes (counting Broken Bow as a two hour pilot.)

If you want the screens repeated less often, buy me the DVD pack smile (thats a joke mods plz dont get mad.)

Mods don't even visit this place

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

Speaking of DVD's, I got disc two in the mail, so WOOT for new screenshots!

Also, episode ten (or whatever number the next one is) could be my second funny one, so feeback will be appreciated.  Until Thursday, then.

Character bio's have been updated to include the new player, they can be find in the "About" section.

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

Okay people I have a question that requires your imput (why I'm bothering I don't know, you never talked to me about my fantasy parody novel.)

I have discovered how to html link the comics on my website.  They open a new window-but not a new window-and you have to zoom in to read it, but it works.  Now if I switched the archives to those links, you'd have to backspace to the website to go back.  Also, if I do this you won't be able to read the transcript while viewing the comic.  Of course, if you can read and see the comic, you don't need the transcript.  So, what do you guys think?

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

I haven't done it yet.  I wanted audience imput.

The only advanatge to html is possible lowering of the amount of server space, but if I need to upload the episode to the site anyway it defeates the purpose I think.

Of course your going to bring up the very excellent point that if you can't see both versions, you can't make a valid descision.  This is correct.  so maybe I should do it to see the difference and to see if it lowers the amount of used drive space on my site.

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

Well, found a new reason to switch: size limit of the pages.  My archive self-destructed so I had to redo it and make a seocnd page for it.  I better check out this html angle.

The conversion process has begun.  Compare it to Archive Two and let me know which you prefer.  Please.

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

Well I made the switch, how does it look?  Don't forget:

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

I don't want to seem needy or unappreciated, but it seems the only trime anyone read the new stirp is when I've said that it's been posted, so...

Monday, Thursday, Saturday people.  And this coming Saturday should be hilarious, I hope.

There are a LOT of explosions in it

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

Yeah currently I have two explosion picks: one of a big explosion spewing red hot stuff, and a tiny one from a torpedo that hit an asteroid.  Like I said I'm getting the DVD's one at a time through blockbuster online.

How does the new trasncript method look?  It's a lot easier for me.

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

Some of the lines from the mouths look strung out. You might better look at some already out there and copy their method or email them about it.

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

not those but the initial from the mouth to the text

Re: Hoitash webcomic about ze trekkies

I'm not sure I see what you mean.  Is it the bubbles that are blurry?

I'm not using photoshop so that could be the reason for lack of detail.  That and I'm saving the strips at a lower resolution than normal to save space.

compare this to yours
The initial sharp thingy doesn't need to originate from the mouth, and it might not hurt to make it a little sharper

Also, using jpg shouldn't be that bad for something like this. Even with the quality loss.

Are you saying there's serious quality issues?
