The news this morning made me laugh out loud.
It's fun to watch people backpedal.
Even more fun to watch people trying to worm their way out of saying things like "We were wrong" or "We overreacted" or "Actually, Swine Flu is about 0.1% as fatal as regular flu. Sorry if we made you cry" on the camera.

My mom was in a panic when they first said 'spread to US' and 'dangerous'.

Then I called and she told me her panic. I said mom the statistics on this is pathetic so far.

Then a few days later I called and we talked about Swine Flu again... and I said, this thing is a joke, and is just a distraction from Obama's blunders, errors, gaffs, and corruption. She agreed and life goes on.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Skoe an exponential early growth does not equate to continued such growth.

Instead this was the hidden incubation period and lack of proper reporting/understanding that a new virus was out.

Indeed all the scare over this virus will result in a hard leveling off of the virus for the short term, and it will grow over the midterm. Longterm results may vary wildly, as it could just make it to larger growth, or it could just fade away as was previously the case.

If there were 10,000 cases reported in Oregon, with a population of about 3 million, I would be concerned, but 10,000 in the US alone would make me yawn and curse the news for not reporting important things. 10,000 in the world is like trying to say that your concerned about the lost population on that 1 outta 200 planets you lost and retook... yeah the pop is dead, but it was a TO planet to start with, no LQ's and your LQ planets are OB to 800%. Consider it like that.
