Re: Australia military build-up

Einstein,

Yes you can sabotage a plane or get lucky. But you're talking about rare opportunities. Overall, the US air force is adequate to whipe out an army of another country.

If we decided to be ruthless, for example, we could terrorize the Iranians and turn their population against the government... by using our airforce and at low cost to us.

Re: Australia military build-up

No not so rare with dispersed and trained special forces.

Now with an ocean between, yes we can wtfpwn them all we want. But these people and you mostly as well, do not know true military capabilities, they just spout.

There is a reason for the no-uniform == you can be killed when captured on a battlefield law.

I could not dent a new fighter with a Tow Missile I expect. A depleted Uranium Penetrator yes... a RPG = no.

Just what are you snorting?

Geneva convention. You MUST wear a uniform.

Errr...no. You MUST wear one, but that doesn't deter 1st SFOD-D, Berets, or the SAS from not wearing one. In the few pictures you get of real SF, you'll see alot of them wearing things like northface jackets and running sneakers.

Re: Australia military build-up

That really depends on the mission. I've seen "plenty" of SF pictures, where they wear gucci kit, but no civie clothing. But you're correct in saying that SD don't have any quarrels in using civilian clothing to blend in.

Je maintiendrai

Agreed. Usually it's the type of thing that would require interaction or concealment with/in the populace. Or sometimes its just more comfortable and functional.

Re: Australia military build-up

Dude I have studied these aircraft. My Step Father made a couple parts for the Stealth Fighter. My trainer in my new job made some of the first test samples, for years, of Carbon Nanofiber. I am as well versed in this topic as you can be.

An Inch of this stuff is like 16 inches of steel at the least. The properties are amazing

"I can, without a doubt, get in range to destroy 2, maybe 3 aircraft before I am gunned down. I can guarantee I could do this."

LMFAO
Do you ever come out of fantasy land?
So you think its easier to destroy a couple fo military aircraft thant say a plane full of tourists?
Because I wouldn't feel safe if an unfit fat man could easily destroy my plane while I sit on the runway

Definitely not Flint. However a SMART unfit fat man may be able to do it. Food delivery truck loaded with explosives crashing through the chain link for example.

That's the one reason why the US > Australia. We just don't care about the natives. Our attitude is "go live on that reservation. No electricity? Your problem."

I just don't think its fair 'they' get guaranteed benefits and i don't.

well, whats even less fair is what Africans have to deal with; you should champion for them first, they have it way worse then you. if you're trying to solve unfairness. but for some reason i dont think you're after whats fair, but are a greedy, dishonest person.
