Are you trying to come over as an asshole? I had thought better of you. We know bloody well how to make concrete roadblocks, but we've never needed them. The last time someone tried to assinate a member of the Royal family was in 1584..

The strenght of the Dutch royalty is its closeness to the Dutch people, fencing of the Royals behind concrete roadblocks, trucks and soldiers just won't do. And we sure as hell don't need an American smartass to tell us how to do things.

Like I said previously, this is not the USA or France, we never had the need for concrete roadblocks, we don't have a history of assasination attempts on our leaders. When Obama went away from the planned route and talked to the crowd for ten minutes, everyone was in an uproar and amazed he was taking such a risk. Around here it's the normal thing to do. I can still remember how the Queen's late husband took a complety unknown woman on a ride on the back of his bike during a previous Queenday celebration, and the nation loved him for it, it's why are Royals are so popular.

Perhaps our nation has lost it's innocence in that regard. But concrete roadblocks might stop a car, but it won't stop a Chesna or a bullet, we don't parade our Royals around in tanks neither, now do we? We won't let some wacko turn this day in some kind of G8'esque event.

The title clearly states "Take that The Netherlands". Not just "thake that Royals", in other words in my eyes it's directed to the entire Dutch nation, which just so happens to include me.

Three family members of mine were there, a mere 60 meters away from the atack, I love them and thinking that they might have died, well that just put me in an off balance state of mind, so sooorryy if I don't join in the laugh parade at the expense of the dead. The people that died were Dutch (Yes, I consider people from the Antillen Dutch also). The Royal Family, which I hold in high esteem, was threatened. It messed up my holiday, it happened in the nation I live in, on a day that I've always remembered as a fond time when people got together. That enough reasons for you?

I fail to see the relation between the Mohammed cartoons and this atack. If you are refering to my views on Islam, if anything they have strengthend, this atack showed me just how much grieve terrorism can cause.
