Topic: How the US really works
Stupid people believe that the United States is a Democratic government or Constitutional Republic, and furthermore that the nation's electoral system actually has a bearing on the outcomes in the nation. While this may be true on the face of it, nothing could be further from the truth in practice. Since the time that human groups had members who were able to monopolize the control of resources, there has been stratification and unequal access to power.
Those with power, whether it is owed to influence, coercive power, or control of resources, ultimately make the decisions. Politicians may be humiliated and their careers ruined, but that won't change the structure of power. The structure of power may change over time as new inventions are made and power struggles are settled, but it is a futile hope to expect equality, justice, or equal representation. All these things are ultimately permitted because the elite have decided that it's to their benefit to permit them, and they will terminate them if the conditions change.
In our democratic country, our freedoms are intended to serve their benefit. Our political issues are intended to occupy us with the illusion of freedom and entertain us. And our politicians owe their power to the powerful elites.
All attempts to create a just and equal society are also futile. No matter what elite you depose, another will take it's place. The French Revolution and Russian Revolution proved that.
There is no point for me proving this, because any intelligent person can realize it.
America is a plutocracy, and so is every country on earth. If you disagree you're stupid.
