Topic: Black History Month (Part 2)
Okay, stick with me while i try and put some sort of argument together.
Basically the United States dedicates an entire month to "Black History" (That is, history of black people). No other month (AFAIK)
is dedicated to any other minority or majority.
Basically my argument is that this is stupid for several reasons:
** The celebration of a single race is by definition racist.
** No other race receives this treatment.
** It promotes anti-communal thoughts, thus segregating society even further.
According to various sources [0][1] there have been several inventions "by black people". I have picked 4 to discuss...
1))
"Hame Attachments Part for a draft horses' collar."
Black people never domesticated horses. So without people of other races, the invention is useless.
2))
"Fire Escape Ladder"
No black structure would have ever needed escape ladders if it wasn't for the introduction of other races and their technologies.
3))
"Mop"
Apparently the mop was invented by a white person - Jacob Howe. Of course, this information i recieved through google (and a white
nationalist site, we all know how accurate that could well be). I didn't bother to verify the U.S. patent numbers (I'll check later
if its important).
4))
"Key Chain"
Same reason as #1. Without other races, black people would never of had a reason for keys...
My point?
Its absurd to celebrate the achievements of a single race.
