dont feel stressed out about schoolwork just find a nice person on campus with an adderall script and buy a couple caps, then even if you left an entire semesters worth of work for the last week, you will do fine!
Lat, did u post on the badminton club website with the forum name Lateralis? ![]()
badminton? And you call yourself a man?
pfft, i bet you suck at badminton SD ![]()
badminton is a real man's sport: skilful, tiring and fast
I also play squash, SD.
But as Archangle says, it is rather exciting and not for wimps!
@ Archangel
Yes... original nickname, huh? =P
And I keep on losing track who on these forums is at Warwick. I seem to recall you being at Warwick...? If so, have you been to the badminton club sessions much? =P
dude i play all the time, usually 3 of the club sessions a week - tuesday, saturday and sunday.
u?
and i picked up squash this term ![]()
Oh, I'm always at the Tuesday session.
Been to the Saturday session a few times and have made it to the Friday morning session. Not going to be able to make the Tuesday session this week as I'll be at a research facility in Cheshire.
So I think I'll try and make the Thursday one instead.
And who are you then at the sessions?
I'm realtively easy to identify as I use a Karakal M-Tec 75 racquet which is black and blue - not a club Forza racquet nor a Yonex.
Rob is the only other guy in the badminton club that I can think of who uses a Karakal racquet. And I take it you know "Beardy" then? ![]()
the friday session involves me getting up at 6am or so, which is kinda of impossible
thursday unfortunately coincides with two lectures so i never go.
As for beardy, I know 'some' bearded ppl at badminton, but iv never heard any of them actually called 'Beardy' lol.
and since when is racquet type an identifiable feature of a person?
I use a blue and red Yonex Muscle Power 723, which is one of those JJB-only racquets based on the Muscle Power 23. Now you should be able to find me right? ![]()
Tournament time in 25 mins
oh and your name is james/jimmy right?
i used to play squash as well!
you actually have squash facilities at yr uni ?
i ve found the on-uni one to be quite expensive to attend regularly ![]()
I'm identifiable by racquet type as, to the best of my knowledge, I'm one of only two people in the club who uses a Karakal racquet.
Everyone else uses either the club's Forza or Yonex racquets. And as my shiny Karakal racquet is still kinda new, the emblem on the strings is quite prominent and unmistakable.
As for "Beardy", he's the shortish guy with a massive ginger beard and really bad attitude.
He also adopts a very peculiar stance when waiting to recieve service.
Last Tuesday he kept calling himself a "wanker" and shouting and whatnot when he missed shots, let shots drop in or was just being a general idiot.
The week before I played against him with his usual doubles partner and beat him. He wasn't happy, stormed off grumpy and refused to shake my hand.
What a nonce.
I'm not going to the tournament as:
1) my doubles partner is busy
2) I need to get ready to go to Cheshire.
And on the sign-up sheets I normally put myself down as James A.
Ohhh, and I'm hoping the club hoodies and t-shirts show up next week... I'm itching to get mine!
@ Nemeara
We've got 6 squash courts at Warwick, all of which are free to use for Warwick Sport members (Warwick Sport membership is
Lat is identifiable by his Iron Maiden t-shirts. And his enormous BELLY
What slanderous lies!
rofl ofc i know beardy, or as i usually hear him called - grumpy the dwarf - i was just being careful cos i know he is a postgrad student, so didnt wanna insult him and then find he was you ![]()
i ordered a medium-sized club hoodie so might not get mine next week with the back-up ![]()
oh and be careful, i noticed that Ben has exactly the same racquet as me, colours and everything ![]()
also i got told by rob yesterday that the friday session tends to go on til midday becos no one else uses the hall, so i may well come along at some point after 9am or so, and i put myself down as Jeremy, or sumtimes Jeremy H if the other one is at the session ![]()
Yes! When I was cooking dinner earlier on I recalled that people on here called you Jez, so figured you would probably be Jeremy at the club sessions.
I'm trying to recall what you look like though, and am failing at the moment. ![]()
In principle I could go to the Friday session from the start as I've been quite the dilligent little worker over the last three months - been getting onto campus for 7am.
But as I do knock off early to play the Tuesday session and lose Thursday through teaching, I feel I can't really lose my Friday morning through badminton.
rofl @ the Grumpy Dwarf. I'll have to tell my friends that name. Doesn't quite beat "Beardy" for snappiness, but is a better description of him and twice as funny.
Didn't know that he was a postgrad though. Do you know what in?
How'd you get on in the tournament?
