Nice post now i get to see what other students are going, ive moaned and complained about this abunch im sure but now i have a place to formally do it!
lets see...
- Cost of tuition, combined with cost of books.
- Currently a Undergraduate, with 48 credits and 3 more semesters to go to obtain my associates degree.
- Currently maintaing a 3.5 GPA
- Each week in nursing school we have on average about 14 chapters to read with contain: Around say 300-400 pages of reading, after the reading you have to do 5-10 drug cards with in theirselves is a mission since you have to remember every drug, their brand name, genric name, route, action, side effect, etc u get the idea ... on top of that each week we must research a disease process and define it and tell all interventions which accompany them.
- My girlfriend who is in nursing school with me, some magical way we make more than enough time each week to be together (although we should be studying more) we both work 25-40hrs a week aswell.
- Doing clinicals suck since your basically just doing free work, with abunch of people complaining in your ear all the time, motto is the student is wrong and when your right your still wrong
- Each and every exam we take must be completed with a 92% or better, you have 2 chances to this. If you fail to do so 2 times you fail out of the entire nursing program.
- You have 2 chances to complete your skills testing, if you fail both chances you fail out of the entire program.
- By week 15 we should know how to do a compelte head-to-toe assessment (not to mention we learn how to do about 1-3 of them each week combined with everything else)
- You can only miss 2 days of class, if you miss 3 you fail completely out of the program.
- If you show up 15 mins late to class, your better off not coming at all since you'll just be sent home.
- We have about 15 different books to read from every week ...
- Ok i'm stop now
