Confused... is this a Canadian election thread, or American? Sloth's original post was a bit confusing on that point :S
If this is a Canadian election thread, I'll only say this in response to the original post. If you, as a low income earning student don't think you deserve federal benefits, then you are very stubborn. How are you suppossed to finish post \secondary and have a chance at a future as a middle to high income learner if you don't have support along the way. Canada needs to build an educated, and well informed workforce, which is currently suffering a huge brain drain, which is patched up by importing foreign workers with lower qualifications.
As for the carbin tax? If it will be offset in reduced income tax as the Dion is claiming, then it will be a huge benefit in the next few years when alternate fuel cars become available to the consumer en masse.
While I personally don't think Dion can lead the country, I will be voting Liberal, simply because I fear Harper with a majority government. Even with a minority he has been able to put serious tarnish on Canada's Rep. Which, lets face it, it'sthe most important asset we have when it comes to foreign diplomacy.
