The whole point of Sex Ed (which hardly exists in America in any case) is to educate children, before they start giving each other oral. There was this thing on Oprah once about a 13 and 15 year old have oral sex in the back seat of a bus, while the other kids were egging them on like they were watching a sporting event.
While I approve of young people exploring their sexuality, I admit that 13 and 15 does seem to young for something like this. But the question here is: had they received proper sexual education classes, would they have done something like this?"
ye ok, thats the age discussion, i have no idea about when children get sexually active,
i know i got sex ed on school when i was 11, but my parents told me all about it already when i was 10ish. i think ur parents will know when ur ready to know all that, atleast i knew all about it intime lol

WTF? We had sex ed when we were 11 years old..

<Stefan> looks alright to me, just a statue
and that, my friends, is the end of that.
and also one of the reasons why our community is losing more and more members =p

to be clear, i never cared much about it to begin with. just pointing out a few things i think people weren't seeing
Primo faked the conversation with Stefan to keep seeing the penis X(
no need!
i have it set as background picture, and i have a little replica next to my bed!
and now; if i did the same and used this:
http://redongculous.net/london/female-nude.jpg
as family picture, how would i get punished?
as i'm sure primo didn't forget to mention to stefan whose family picture it was in question. remember, people, it's just art!
It's art, it's also breaking the rules. Why should the rules not apply to art?
it's not about breaking rules. it's about who's breaking them.
as usual.
I agree with Decimus!
I find myself saying that more and more often, this is scary. ![]()
I didnt mention who's pic it was, nor would it have mattered.
That painting is not a well known piece of art (afaik), but i would have to ask stefan about it as well.
but doesn't that seem a bit silly? that moderators would have to ask stef for the final word on something like this. i don't see why stef has to be asked at all, it's clearly a rule violation.
i guess my issue is that it's setting a bad precedent. decimus has a point about double standards. if a 'trouble maker' had a picture of a naked man or woman, i wouldn't be surprised if they got punished.
This kind of reminds me when Decimus had edited an animation of a dancing fat man with Flint's head, and posted it as his avatar. That too could have been considered "art", and Decimus almost got away with it because of Flint's foolish name calling toward a -certain- mod (who I think has since retired, no?).
Anyway, the point I'm getting at is that there needs to be clearer rules with regards to this sort of thing. Otherwise, the accusations of mod abuse with keep on coming.
CT, that was me, the dancing fat man with flint's head ![]()
it never was an avatar though
also, what mod ![]()
Just a minor note, but the game rules don't say nudity isn't allowed. They simply say that people who display nudity can be warned or deleted.
The key word is can. They can be, but they may not necessarily be.
In short, it is and always has been up to the mods discretion, as it was when the picture I displayed was used a family pic.
I think piefoo was a mod back then too ![]()
In any case, it's all irrelevant. Stefan says it's fine...which means, it's fine ![]()
fair enough point theofoo =P i guess if we're going to be strict about interpretation, that includes clearly stated ambiguity, if that makes any sense
bwhahaha :D
Hurrah for ambiguously worded guidelines! Let's keep the players guessing >=)
Well, with this cleared out, I think the rules are made as such because it allows some interpretation for the intention and the nature of the nudity. I don't think David's a disgrace or unfitting for IC. It's everywhere anyway. It's not tasteless porn, and I don't see any difference with any other sculpture or piece of art I could put up... David doesn't shock people, it's a celebration of mankind..
Besides, why do people fear a naked penis so much? It is an integral part of half the world's population's body you know....
On a sidenote..
The person who opposes this fampic so heavily, is leader of a top ten fam that has been hitting us heavily. I asked him to talk to me about a nap. He replied me, with an incredible example of childish behaviour. I just couldn't keep this from you ![]()
"well maybe if u had some general respect I would love to speak NAP with u but hmmm I dunno if I like children who play this game seeing the nuts and penis of some guy, just cuz u find it 'artistic' which to me it isn't... Just another statue we see plenty of statues everywhere... nothing special. Hell u can mass produce them now if u want. Hell just laser scan some ripped naked man put it into a computer and watch the computer make 500 of them every minute... 'UHHHH WHAT ART!!! LOL!!'
Signed, Xxxx Xxxxx of XXXX Xxxxxx (xxx)"
He has a point though, it's just a nicely shaped rock.
I find it annoying that 'the shades of grey' argument is being used, because quite honestly, that's never been the case before when it comes to regular players. Rules should not be open to interpretation, rules need to be black and white, cold and unforgiving. Othewise people will just make a mockery of them.
I say a Moderater should set a good example, this however is not a good example and will only create disrespect for this game's Authorities.
Okay... if the man said there are parents who dont want their children to see this... I can assure you of one thing and one thing only.... HE IS AN AMERICAN. I am too, but I on the other hand have a German mother, and was raised by her and in that culture, rather than in the closed minded communities most americans live in... Dont allow his ignorance to change your family picture... if he's not in your family, tell him to quit looking at your picture ![]()

Of course not..
"He has a point though, it's just a nicely shaped rock."
You have no idea how silly that sounds..

Every rule or lawbook is open to interpretation, or there would be no need for courts and judges ![]()
