Random in and get in a fam with only 3 active players. Start growing and soon after notice that someone from a fam half way across the sector has decided to explore right next to my home system. I clear the planet, and a day later the fam in question mass launches me and takes half my planets

This game is such a joke if you're not in a decent fam. No wonder most of the new players quit after a week or two.

Ic's been that way since the begining of time .... if you can't find a good fam to draft you into it, go to PW. PW used to be the best galaxy (fun wise) but with the recent players leaving to capricorn i'd say no galaxy is really fun

I have to disagree,  - if playing wasn't fun - we all wouldn't be on IC right now?

Capri seems to me, to be a ballanced mix of hard core "lets-make-a-whole-fam-strat-and-flame-anyone-who-spends-10gc-not-to-that-plan" players and newb "lets-make-a-race-with-TO-and-minus-population-growth" players.
IMO the way to go is more smaller gals each with varying grades of players in so that poor fresh newbies dont have to tango with the likes of ..  tymo for example

I think capricorn is just another galaxy, no galaxy is "hard core" unless of coure it has hardcore rules, and any fam is only as hardcore as they wish to play.

And personally i just play IC nowadays as a bad habit that i can't kick
