You completely missed the point. I said walls work both ways, as in they keep people out just as easily as they keep people /in/. As a so-called security professional, you're certainly aware of this concept. For instance, placing thorny bushes in front of your windows may be a good deterrent to burglars, yet it can also deny you a valuable fire escape in the event of emergency.
Oh yeah like we will flee mexico to avoid a huge fire.
Btw I am the security expert.
And in a fire a thorn bush is not a real barrier, some harm or death...

Nope it won't. It'll trouble them, but they'll get around it sooner or later. What will actually stop them from pouring (or dripping) in is economic development in their own country.
Also an argument of power ("I'm the security expert") is according to discours analysis a wrong one. I'm nearly a graduated historian, but that doesn't mean I'm right all the time about historic events

No, as I said earlier no matter what you do they will eventually find a way around it. Unless you build it so deep it hits magma they'll find a way under it, unless you build it so high it's in space they'll find a way over it, unless you make it indestructible they will make a way through it. It might take a while but eventually someone will find a way through.
You know what would work as well? Actually rounding the bastards up instead of condoning their pressence. I also do not understand why they don't just ask people who solely speak Spanish to show their ID.

He wasn't using it as an argument - he was pointing out the error that alcolyte believed BW to be the security expert, when indeed, Einstein claims security expertise. :-p.
I'm a security expert too and I have the state license to prove it! I say that the whole damn project was a waste of time. FENCES KEEP OUT NO ONE! There is always a way around it, over, through it, or even under it. My dad once put up a chain link fence to keep us from gettin in the creek. What did we do? At 8 years old we were digging UNDER the fence and getting in the creek anyway. EIGHT YEARS OLD. We were little kids. The neighbor kid was 5 at the time!

well it's harming Americans who want to drink under age or drink descent Tequila.
A 5 year mandatory prison sentence for anybody that hires an undocumented worker would do far more in stopping illegal immigration then any fence could ever do.
yeah but sadly judges won't enforce the laws we already had
they caught some fence maker in my county who "preferred" to hire illegal aliens. Americans just "didn't work out". Most of the employees at his fence plant made at least $35,000 a year and were family and friends of existing employees. I'm quoting an interview he gave the local paper.
Funny how Americans "just don't work out" in that situation! It's almost as if the other employees ran them out so they could bring in a cousin...
The boss got charged and convicted, and the judge said "well I just can't see giving you prison time" and suspended sentence. Took two years to bring him to trial and he left saying that hiring illegals was the right thing to do. WTG America.
Geez I would have jumped to take that job, and keep it for a while...
