Bush brought you democrats everywhere, now do you believe he is the worst ever?
And those people that think the rest of the world will go down with the US are still dreaming in the 80s
dot.com crash started where?
Well if the US goes down, I have family in Europe who will bail me out.
Funny huh? After a hundred years we still have contact with our family across the Atlantic Ocean.
I LOVE this new Stock Market.
What people believe is this....that Stock is actually worth something.
Although I wont touch the auto makers just yet (although GM's new line of hybrid SUVs may be the new wave), I continue to dollar cost ave. my positions in Citi and now in Bank of America.
They are SOOoooo cheap, its almost like taking candy from a baby. Monday mourning I have a purchase order in for more Citi and Bank of America.
Mark my words.......when the media tells you dont trust the market....its time to buy.
Dow and S&P are in bottom fishing territory. It is now time to get in the market and get some cheap stocks in blue chips.
Get out of Gold, Get out of oil....get into banks now.
Citi, Bank of America, Freddie and Fanny are now cheap (may come down more), Wells Fargo, etc.
When the Socialist are happy, its time to invest in America.

The US economy is 13 794 000 000 000
So 700 000 000 000 represents only 5% of that. So it would take 20 years for America to sell off all its wealth - that is if its economy did not grow. In truth the economy is more complex than this. Afterall is Nike imports $5 worth of shoes into USA then the value added goes to a US company. Economies should be measured in value added, not always raw data. This $700bn is about the same as Russia's, China's and Germany's export surpluses combined. All their economies come to ~11 000 000 000 000
Well Put Mace.
As well, US owned holdings overseas are about 2.5-3 times the foreign holdings of proper US Property.
Even so, 7B is a mere pittance.
US EXPORTS grew at 2.5% last qtr as well. Cheaper dollar, makes for attractive US Products.

Yeah and the devaluing of my assets. Do you think I appreciate that a whole lot?
"Cheaper dollar, makes for attractive US Products."
Yeah people are finally getting their money's worth.
" I continue to dollar cost ave. my positions in Citi and now in Bank of America."
LMAO
you'll be able to buy the whole company when it hits 0
not so long ago you were buying alcoa, genius.
If people do the exact opposite of what you say they'll make huge amounts.
Short BOA and Citi.

Internet.
... I guess most of us were not around during the great depression. Virtually every country in the world was suffering. You think 5-10% unemployment is bad what happens when the global average for "developed" economies approach 25-35%. This "short term" pain that we are seeing is NOTHING. But if it gets worse it can get alot wosre.

Who cares? The poor people can just build more Hoovervilles, and there will be more prostitutes and thus lower prices.
That's what I always liked about you IA. Always the optimist
. But on a more serious note since u have realized the high correlation between poverty and crime...
Today
C down 6%
BAC down 7%
Good job on those calls BW, LOL
Han. It's called long term growth.
Call back in a couple years and check.
Im still in AA...Alcoa. Im also BIG on SGR
I also road C up and road it down on a short.
C and BAC are short-term plays for position
And, I will be in for more tonight.
Han have you moved the Food and Beverage into the bunker yet ?? Make sure you bring your Copies of CNN and the NY Times for entertainment in your secure redoubt.
Bac down another 8% ![]()
"It's called long term growth"
"C and BAC are short-term plays for position"
LOL
And this
"I also road C up and road it down on a short."
I also road my horse yesterday, lmao
Han, have you ever made $1 on the actual stock market? It's not like investing in Lloyds of London, a shareholder in Citibank never has to pay Citibank's debts. Either Citibank recovers and is worth more someday, or it files Chapter 11 and recovers and is worth more someday, or somebody buys it out and pays off the stockholders for more money or issues them new stock that is worth more someday. I wish I had real money to put into Washington Mutual--despite the Democrats seeking to win the election by causing runs on banks.
How does causing bank runs win elections?
It's the "sky is falling principle"
"Only I can stop the sky from falling, vote me!!!!!"
btw if global warming and CO2 is increasing the air pressure, why does it seem to be the same everywhere on the air pressure with old air pressure? hmmmm.... maybe the sky is falling, oh my!
Im just wondering.......
Did anyone else besides HAN not listen to me when I said get in on BAC and C
Symbol Description Acct Type Qty Price Market Value Today's
Change(s)*$
BAC BANK AMER CORP Cash 300 26.50 7950.00 (16.89%)

My Cost per share for 3 days in a row of purchasing 100 shares of each a day in the run up to the Fed Meeting.
And off the Freddie Mac .... ** SCARE ** .... that some ass printed who has no clue.
So much of no clue....that even ... ** I ** .... Saw it.
NOW......once again...... I sell off a good position of my position, and I have another block of Cheap bank stock that are costing me 1/2 their present value.
Short-term moves, to gain positions on the cheap. Yea....market timing,.....but in an educated way.
BANK OF AMERICA CORP (BAC) 19.5533
CITIGROUP INC (C) 15.5133
