MW – Round 56


Family Structure:
   1. 8 Families
   2. Pre-formed, two player teams to start the round.
   3. One single draft code for family leader (essentially three player teams).
   4. Max players = 120 (15x8) 
   5. New random join slots opened once all families have equal amounts of player.


Universe Structure:
   1. Max planet per system = 15-17 
   2. Map Size =  60x60
   3. Round length – 4 Weeks. 


Significant changes:
   1.    Morale planet count upped - now equal to other bonus planets!
   2.    New race, Dreamweavers: (should time allow).

17 planet max/system sounds like a ton. I'd rather this be set once it's less up in the air how many players each fam will have

The 15-17 p-count, is a bit of a work around – it is severing a need.

Need:
The system size has to be larger then you are used to.  This allows new entries into the family. Once every fam is full of equal numbers of players, Pie *manually* has to open up slots for a new wave of joiners.


There are also a few things built into the round to mitigate your concern:

  The Morale planet boost:
  Much more fighting, and mass hitting are possible.

  Dreamweavers:
  They are going to be played many different ways as people decide how to use them. They are just beasts in exploration, especially if left alone to SS.


  Others:
  10x starting resources.
  The developing infra and exploration skills of the community.
   More planets should allow more time and sperad, especially for people who miss SoR.

Eww, 60x60 again, go 80x80 at least
Maybe a bit better with more planets tho. But in the case of a cancel war things will get VERY nasty,

And if morale is staying the same, especially with more morale planets around the galactic overseers better get their asses in the game and enforce that 35% nw rule as I have been screaming like a strangled parrot all round.
Which would mean sentinal tag would need to be re implemented.

It's basically a HC gal with morale limitations ATM, bottom fams are toast with absolutely no chance of a comeback.

Thank you for your input!


The Morale planet boost:
Is intended for more fighting, and less "Offline mauling".
The HC part is there, but the Morale limit remains for the defense of the smaller fams.
Also intended for more active exploration as attackers will be forcing explo's to get more morale p's.

Round Size:
80x80 with Planets per system going from 9p to 16-ish?
Hows 70x70 suit ya?

Drafting:
3 man teams (essentially) for a reshuffle should ensure the more experienced player base is distributed among uni. Heck in the top 2 Fams alone there are prolly 6-8 players capable running solid fams. We gotta break that up a bit.

Mass hitting:
Much more for the players in early explo that don't build defence.
I was hoping that the big morale planet boost would mean that you wouldn't have to essentially go to war to clear a few systems.

35% Rule:
Explain what you want changed please! smile

more morale planets seems a better idea than the MBoost op i was talking about, at least this way you don't rely on one active custom race but more people can be utility (and then you mentioned the race you designed for preset so that would fit nicely yeah)

U don't remember that rule?

You could not hit a player under 35% of ur nw,

Sentinal tag was bought in to stop tiny attackers being able to abuse this and allowing the player with the tag to hit anyone Under that limit,
I believe it could only be used by revalons and maybe another...


It stops the total destruction of fams by the big dogs.
