Topic: Allowing Redirect Aiding

You should allow aid (specific types of aid) to be redirected when u go offline to someone else.

oooo What If I went offline and turned my redirect to Translucent, and Translucent had it set to me...and Devilz sent me 10mil gc....does it get lost in the void?

No obviously who ever turns it on last overrides the other person if it does create an infinite loop of aiding.. duh, easy coding... smile

Re: Allowing Redirect Aiding

Infinite loops should be a goal in all coding projects.

lol I could totally see the "implementation" of this feature taking down the entire game for a day.

I'm only a novice programmer but I'm sure you could tag the aid package with a key and track if it's made a loop then stop the cycle at that point. Or even just do a projection to see if it would cycle back and deny the user the ability to forward it to that person.

I always hold my breath of the implementation of any changes to this game taking down this game

I'm not a professional programmer like pie but it's not that these issues aren't preventable, it's that there are sometimes circumstances that you don't forsee. For example (hypothetically), game crashes, don't know why. Turns out, someone entered three letters, an emoji, and a semicolon into your field for players to input a number of units to build. While adding the feature, you forgot to check the type of the input and return an error for a non int value. You built the feature and it tested fine when you entered a number into it. It's the random scenario where somebody does something that nobody would ever do that throws it off
