Topic: IAs = ok this round; lying about the IA your in = asshole

please stop getting this confused... i didnt have a problem with the IA; i was in one myself...

I have a problem with this scenarios right here:

me: {attacks but fails}

person: any response not resulting in war

me: im learning how to attack, you are my only target at the moment (true each time i said it, so calling me a liar is subjective to the timeline); want to nap? (granted there are variations but ideally i attacked, then tried to get nap - as per sb fam strat instructions)

person: i dont want to nap but dont come near me and i wont bother you - (this is not an IA, just an agree to stay away - which i had with DK and we remained peaceful)

alt person: ok sure; lets team up (this is an ia; not quite a nap until they sign it) - lacoste replied with this... then i sign a nap with him... but he never signed it on his side... then sometime later - i mustve cancelled it when going through my foreign relations
however at no point did i do ops or spells or attacks against him

i dont have my messages anymore so i cant see what big responded with but heres the deal at this point...

2 of them have agreed not to fight me (big and lacoste - not sure if dk was in their ia or not) and a presumably 3rd has failed at fighting me and agreed to a nap...

raise your hand if you would think the 3 people youve agreed to be allied with are about to gang up on you?

Be nice Scorp.. they need to learn somehow, and SN is the learning gal.. however diplomacy here obviously needed to be worked on more.

bascially how it works in this game is if you dont have an actual nap signed, you dont have a nap no matter what they say.  There are too many people who will screw you if you only trust their words.  You can negotiate and have a "nap" but always assume they will attack you at any time.  I would say most (or a lot of) people experienced some kinda backstab with these unofficial naps.
