Re: Rich people. Will you kindly please pay your taxes?

To be fair with Xeno, education establishments defraud students. First, some require you to live on campus for a year, where they rob you with monopolistic prices for living expenses. Then they increase tuition by funding athletics (yes they earn money, but most university athletic programs spend more than they take in), hiring unnecessary administrators, and funding useless departments like Art.

Obama wastes more taxes then the rich can ever evade...its a lost battle. The only point in Keynes theory I agree upon: In the long run we're all dead.

I'd qualify it as such:

Government wastes more taxes trying to reclaim that which the rich defrauds society than the amount the rich defraud society...its a lost battle, hence the nature of systemic tyranny.

I know no one can change your mind  IA, but the Arts department are not useless departments at Universities (and I am an Engineer saying this) as it allows for some creative thought, which is needed for ingenuity which passes out into society. It isn't a physical object, and in general is useless for the students themselves, but allowing for that creative and qualitative type investigation into society is useful for growing a society.

Oh, I wouldn't be surprised that engineers find it useful.  Too bad the actual creative, artistic types whose ideas corporations steal; corporations who hire engineers to actualize the ideas of those who are living in poverty and despair, for this renders society's development stagnant, as artistic, creative geniuses, due to their tendency to be ethical and moral as well intelligent, collectively shun an inherently morally bankrupt society and resolve themselves to contribute or participate in its further moral bankruptcy as little as possible.

When the impacts of human activity, including the impacts of new technology, are understood, and adequate measures are taken to avert the negative impacts of human activity and new technologies, watch the creative geniuses out there come out of the woodwork, start contributing, and see humanity enter a new enlightenment that could take us to the stars.  Chance of that ever happening imho : 1 in 4

Xeno: You say that like engineers are not ethical, moral and well rounded. Trust me we are some of the best people you could entrust the welfare of this world too... keep it away from the commerce and political types and leave it with the people who will actually make a difference...

In other words, a technocratic dictatorship?

By engineers' track record for lack of consideration of the sociological and ethical impacts of systems and technologies of their design over the past centuries, I think 'trusting' techies with the way of the world would be just as disastrous if not worse than trusting the commercial / political types.

Its not like there's one quantam like in IC (if its still that way, haven't played in 5-10? years)

Re: Rich people. Will you kindly please pay your taxes?

Xeno: what have engineers ever done badly? or at least what have they ever done badly which they didn't clean up?

that does happen valcona but the percentage of that type of fraud associated with overall bogus medicaid fraud is relatively low

Nope.  Most nursing homes now employ someone with a title similar to "Financial Efficiency Expert".  It is their job to come up with as many bogus expenses as possible and send them to Medicaid.  Around here, on average, about 75% of the money Medicaid pays to nursing homes actually goes to patient care.  That includes nursing costs, special equipment, food, janitorial needs, etc.  The FEE ends up getting large bonuses every quarter depending on how much money they are able to "save" the company.

I won't even go into the shit doctors and hospitals use to top off their pockets.

Re: Rich people. Will you kindly please pay your taxes?

while im sure its true that some rich people evade taxes that this not nearly as bad as the large corperations that are paying 0 to a negative value by shifting assets around globally. ..      you should quit being an engineer immediatly. i am insulted by your claims. that engineers havent created solar panels. bio degradables. efficiency must be a forgien word to you. simply pointing at all the bad thing and honest mistakes is no way to make a claim.you can thank engineers for keeping you alive.

Re: Rich people. Will you kindly please pay your taxes?

Justinian I, you're an authoritarian without a thought of your own.

Nobody forces morons to go to shitty schools. Government funding and corruption is a huge problem, but idiots also support this corruption by voting for shitty legislators/administrators and choosing worse schools over better.

And Xeno chimes in with the dumbest and most ignorant thought of all time:

"Government wastes more taxes trying to reclaim that which the rich defrauds society "

Government is owned and run by the rich, [insult]. Who do you think buys all those loopholes? Who do you think escapes prosecution from major crimes? The rich. Because they fund campaigns. And bribe the politicians they own/control out the ass (this isn't on the record, thank lawyers!). If only land-owners could vote we'd [insult] like you from the voting public, because nobody as [insult] as you could ever attain or keep land.

[insult and poor language]. The rich use government to rob society. They don't have any legal power to rob anyone without the Federal Reserve and all kinds of crony schemes across the nation from local to national.

The problem isn't everyone with money across the world, the problem is imbeciles like you empowering them via electing complete pieces of shit in government who give them the legal authority to rob people.

I notice you never qualified your claim of having 1.6 million dollars taken from you by government. [insult].

As always, the thread is spam, and you're a troll, regardless of whether it's just because you're a total idiot seeking attention or a clever moron seeking attention.
