Topic: Zoom and System Coords

Zooming out to nearly seeing the whole map, the system coordinates arent correctly displayed.

Nothing major, just took me longer than necessary to try and find a fam at specific coords when the map was telling me other coords while hovering over their fam #

Re: Zoom and System Coords

yes the koords do not zoom with the map, I reported this long ago

Re: Zoom and System Coords

yes. I think it is a cursor issue.
not all cursors have the active pixel at the point of the pointer.
thus, thus the further you zoom out, the more inaccurate your pointer becomes.

Re: Zoom and System Coords

I dont think its a cursor issue. When zoomed all the way out after being zoomed in, the cursor is way to far off for it to just be a few pixels out imo. I can zoom out and the system I want isnt even under any part of my cursor when the system coords appear.

ok lets get klear, the map has 7 views using the zoom

1st view (the klosest) --> koords are ok, but u have to skroll the map konstantly and easily get lost, the skrolling is still too agressive, and u mostly wont be allowed to use the arrows to move it (they get out of view when you have more than 4 lists kreated).

2nd view (1 zoom out) --> koords are ok, skrolling is better, but not good for a general view.

3rd view (2 zooms out) --> koords are ok, you dont need to skroll a lot, and the general view is better, this is the one I use normally, and it should be the default view imo while the zoom bug is not fizzed.

4th view (3 zooms out) --> koords are messed, dont zoom out, tho the view is general, you have a general useless view.

5th view (4 zooms out) --> koords are even more messed, the right half side of the map you dont even get 1 koord down the pointer. The general view is now too small for any use unless you want to do a skreenshot (it will depend on your komp resolution tho).

6th view (5 zooms out) --> there are no koords in the map, only just a few in the left border (wrong koords of kourse). The general view is tiny, and this view is kompletely useless unless the map is a huge one (will not happen).

7th view (6 zooms out) --> no koords at all and you need lens to differ what the hell is that stain in your skreen. This view is a joke.

and please some fmod move this where it belongs

Even when zoomed in completely it doesnt work. When zoomed out completely i cant see anything and everything in between also doesnt show coords. So for this case its not what you described

that's bekause the map is too small

Map size: 20x20 across 1 sector

read what I wrote for the 6th and 7th view, it is the same bug, but with a map that small the koords get lost in kloser views.

I studied the views for the PW map, maybe the resolutions were implemented for the MW map as standard, whizh is a big map, and the koords were ok even for the general view, but the bug is diskovered when u set smaller maps than MW.

Re: Zoom and System Coords

Render, the reason that the other thread is still in the bugs forum is because it is still a bug, just because you understand what is causing it doesn't make it any less of a bug.
