Townie

You are a townie. Back in Ireland things had been getting dangerous. You decided to start a new life in the United States of America.

You moved to Chicago, but then you realised there was prohibition! It's more than an irishman could stand! Where's the grog?!?!?! You found the speak eazy's, a place where an irishman could get a proper drink. You knew that there were some run by the Chicago Outfit and some run by others, but you didn't care so long as you got your drinks. You booze hound!

Then last night Flint was killed by the Chicago Outfit for drinking at someone else's establishment. This scared you, but you would not be stopped drinking. You decided it was time to start lynching the members of the Chicago Outfit.

Each day phase you will choose someone to lynch. Each night phase you will spend curled up in the feotal position hoping that you would not die for your alcoholic ways.

Special Role

You are the special role. Back in Ireland you were renowned for your ability to survive tricky situations. You would scrape through even the worst injuries. Each time you felt a little part of yourself die, but that didn't matter to anyone else, so long as you survived.

You came across to the United States, to Chicago, to start again. You remembered reading about a serial killer back in Ireland, the stories had made you feel a little better about the missing parts of yourself. You thought you might try it, if you lost any more of your soul.

If you are targetted for night kill you will survive, but lose the last part of your soul. You will become a serial killer. If the serial killer is still alive, you will work with the serial killer and only have 1 kill per night between you. If the serial killer has been healed or killed then you will be the sole serial killer.

If the doctor heals you then you will become a town member, albeit slightly more robust still heaing from any night kill. If the doctor's heal happens before any attempts to night kill you then you will not gain the serial killer abilities, but will retain your night immunity as a townie.

Doctor

You are the doctor. You were a surgeon back in New York, but you decided it was time to retire. You had done your bit for society, but the blood was getting too much for you. You decided on a change of scenery to Chicago where no one would expect anything out of you. There you could just be anyone.

Following the death Flint and the attitude of the town you started to worry that there would be more killings. You made a decision, one of the toughest of your life. You decided to pick up the scalpel again and start saving lives. But you didn't want the town to know it was you, they would expect more of you, so you decided you would sneak out at nights and try to heal people.

You are the doctor. Each night phase you will get to heal someone, each day phase you will vote along with the town to lynch one of the Chicago Outfit. You cannot heal the same person twice in a row. If you heal the serial killer or special role they will become a town member. Play safe.

Serial Killer

You are the serial killer, known as the irishman. Back in Ireland you had been enthralled by the sight of blood. You had started off murdering your neighbours dogs, you didn't understand why this gave you pleasure, but it did. You then moved onto people, your weapon of choice: garotte wire. You would watch the life slowly drain out of your victims. It was a pleasure you held above all else.

And then your family decided it was time for a change. You emigrated to the United States of America. Maybe you could be free of your dysfunction, maybe you could live an ordinary life?

Everything was going well up until you found Flint's dead body. The site of the blood, the metallic smell, the damage to the throat. It brought back the hunger, the yearning for human lives. It was time to start killing again.

Be aware that there is a special role this game. If this special role is targetted then you will have a protege, someone to teach your psychosis to. If the doctor attempts to heal you the you will be given antipsychotics that will make you a normal, albeit robust, townie.

You are [insert name]. You have been brought into town to attempt to stop Al Capone. You are aware that he has bought several high ranking officers within the Police and the Mayor's Office, and as such you trust no one.

You are a cop. Each night phase you and your fellow cop will decide on who you investigate. During the day phases you will attempt to lynch the members of the Chicago Outfit and attempt to form bonds of trust within the town. Be wary, there may be serial killers about in Chicago, and they could look just like anyone else!

In the event of Capone's untimely passing you will vote with your fellow mafia members on who is to assume his role as the Boss of the Chicago Outfit.

You were called to a meeting of the Chicago Outfit by Capone where it was decided that it was time to show the Irish why the Chicago Outfit was to be feared and respected.

You are the mafia hitman. Each night phase you will assist Capone to select who will perform the mafia kill and who will be killed. You also possess a ONE TIME USE power.

You have always been fairly good with a gun, able to hit an apple at 50 metres with a handgun. You trusted your guns, you would always keep them on you. Your one time kill ability is a special hit. It cannot be stopped and cannot be healed. Be aware, you can only use this power once. If this power is used to kill the serial killer or the special role they will die despite their night immunity.

You are Al Capone. You came to Chicago to run the Chicago Outfit, your main source of income being grog running. Business has been booming, you have been making an estimated 100 million dollars per year! But too much is never enough, and those damned Irish have been cutting in on your business. It will not be tolerated!

You called a meeting of the Chicago Outfit and with your closest friend Frank Nitti decided it was time to strike back at these Irish. They would learn to fear the Chicago Outfit, to show you the proper respect.

You are the godfather. Each night phase YOU will decide on who your mafia lynches, and whether or not Frank Nitti utilises his special power. Each day phase you will lynch a townie. Be wary though, these Irish are crafty buggers, and one of them is a bit loopy.

MESSAGES TO THE GAME MODERATORS FOR NIGHT KILL MUST COME FROM YOU, INGAME, IN THE FORM OF 'Blah is going to be killed by mafia member.' If you use the special kill it must be in the form of (or similar to) 'We are also going to use the Nitti special kill on blah'.
