So a reward was offered to get people to contribute information.  Yet they obviously had no intent of taking this guy alive.  Not saying I blame them for taking him out, but the reward thing was a joke.

That's what makes this worse in my opinion.  The alleged corruption this guy stood against is going to be buried with his body.  I hope I am wrong, but it seems after the media frenzy is over it will be business as usual.

LAPD may or may not have used excessive force in the initial incident that stated the whole mess.  I suppose we may never be sure of that.  However, we do know that they were responsible for shooting innocent people on 2 separate occasions.  We also know they had no intent of honoring any reward.  Apparently to top it off we know we are being lied to about the fire.

I also do not blame them for doing the guy in.  However, I do not like the fact that nothing will likely come of any of this.  In a twisted way, this situation is giving some sense of legitimacy to Dorner's sentiments.
