Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

First of all genesis i am not complaining endlessly, secondly i am sure you do same about expo and exp at the end of the round this is the reasonable move. you know we are right about end date thats because you are trying to resume round.

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

Genesis how is the fact that we have explorers correlated with the DS problem? Please explain how it would be better for me to explore more.

Do you really think its fair to say we are complaining endlessly? I raised the issue that it ended early, and we are now discussing that. Hardly constitutes endless whining. Are you sure you want to stand by that accusation?

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

I am not saying you're right or we're right, it's just common sense, if something wasn't well explained you guys deserve the chance to play 1 more day I think.

Stocking explos is a safe strategy, but this is supposed to be a hardcore galaxy... I really don't want to hear people complaining and then have hundreds of explos to say they "won" a hardcore round. Got that Noir? X(

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

Noir,
do u have your win of team Orion nebula in your history ?

i don't have anything about my orion X(

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

Genesis if you do not understand it, theb read jags comment earlier. Ive prolly captured more planets than anyone else this round.

Players can only be expected to play in the optimal way, just like in real life, you the mods have to govern by incentives. Set the round up properly and you can produce the playstyle you want. What you cannot do is to set up a terrible round and then expect players to keep exploring for 'charity' or something lol

And no richy, alot of ronds dont record

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

You're exploring to gain planets and build infra to gain an edge over your opponents. That's why you don't save hundreds of explos for the last day of the round. If everyone did it instead of sitting on their butts behind DS you would have the conflict you're yelling for.

Quite frankly the round was well set up, if you didn't like the settings you shouldn't have signed up in the first place. If you just happened to notice some things could be improved throughout the course of the round, well, join the club buddy.

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

The reason we stopped exploring is because it wasnt profitable to explore any more, i was on 200 planets and with limited time left in round, and explorationcost of 300k a planet, it simple was not profitable to explore. If you want to challenge me on the economics of it then let me know and i will gladly debate you.

So you actually did it Genesis you went there and said we should send out explorers for charity and fun so that other players would have something to capture from us? Im sorry but thats not how the human mind works. Your critisism is really mute on me, cause i was one of the few players that actually was out there the entire round, not hiding behind any DS.

I didnt like the setup, i still played, and i played well. Now another thing i didnt like happened, the round ended too early. Do you really expect us not to comment on this at all?

LORD HELP OREGON

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

I don't want to debate technicalities Noir, but the round didn't end early. You simply didn't check the date and assumed wrongly. However, because it wasn't stated in the Announcement, we are going to give you guys the chance to play an extra day.

I can debate you on economics, but this is a conflict game, and you are the one complaining about lack of conflict. If you want it, seek it out. Pretty simple smile

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

Ive had plenty conflict Genesis, the most of anyone in Orion actually.

Please let me know how i was supposed to check when the round ended, accouncement forum misstated it and mods and fmods in #mod misstated it and the galaxy is not in the Universe page. What is the official source please so we can avoid future misstakes.

The round might not have ended early, but in that case the announcement was wrong smile

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

No it wasn't, it stated it would last 1 month. And it did, 30 days exactly. It is a technicality, hence why we're contemplating giving you guys another day.

Btw are you talking about conflict in previous round or the current? Because if it's the current it looks like most of the conflict happened in this thread.

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

An extra day? what the hell...? this is definately my last round, this is rediculous. neutral

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

It's awful to see the mods agreeing to the complaints of a few people when technically everything went according to plan

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

I was waiting for you to kill me today mate, were you planning to? I did fight a few people but they didn't like round the clock OPs so I got a few CFs from that and was free to do what I wanted lol.

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

I was looking for a moment to attack you but I had some other people to fight off first. And at the time I could've been ready to attack I didn't have the energy or the time to fight anyone. So yea I was planning to attack you at some point but you played smart so even if I went for it I doubt I would've gone far.

I think Quantam really is the best SS race but the 20% speed bonus makes it very hard to play aggressively.

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

oh, yeah I can see why it cost so much then lol, surely your Eco could manage that wink

I had millions left (resources and cash), I didn't get to use it lol... Meh, lets get the next round underway please.

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

Ahem, Noir, why do you think I showed up in the forums today?

Because I had read that Orion would end today... and I wanted to look up how this HC-galaxy fared. There was no wrong date in the announcement, just no specific date. But in "The Universe" section everybody was able to read it for weeks.

So, the only mistake made was... by those having made wrong assumptions.

It would be wrong to play another day. What about those, able to read, who planned their EOR-jump for the correct date? For today.

Re: Orion Nebula: player input required!

Exactly Arby tongue 4 out of 12 months meaning most months dont wink... But i think weve reached a conclusion for the date debate

Altruit, weve been over this a million times now, the announcement post was incorrect, the "join galaxy" page was correct, information was ambigious, as is proven by the fact that most players in Orion thought it would end tomorrow tongue...
