I wanna thank the mods for following thru on the stay in family round. And I truly don't get why these ppl are complaining and wanna have a reshuffle when it clearly said that this round wasn't going to be one.

Bc people will always find something to complain about no matter what it is. If Mods said everyone could have a free VIP, there would be people that are not happy with it, or say its not enough. People just like to complain tongue

It wouldn't be a real problem.... but many fams are already set up for the entire round... we had a delay and this is gonna delay even more before we can play next round..... and well... people like me that pay for a VIP know that it's a donation... but when you can't use the advantages of the donation it really sucks..... I won't sposor a sportclub when they don't play too......

Not entirely true, I chose to delete my empire at eor as I didn't wanna play a stay in fam round in pw as I feel it kills the competition and fun of the galaxy, I only re joined as the galaxy was reshuffled as usual.

Obv the mods have worked hard to sort out this cockup, which is unfortunate for me as I hoped they wouldn't, so I'll be asking a mod to remove me from pw for reasons above smile

can this be changed???? I already got messages from fammembers that we should hurry picking a theme cause round starts tomorrow..... Lot of players don't even know what's been written here in Uni......

well I read a lot of people here complaining bcause they want PW to be always random, I'll tell you a thing or two:

I am tired of starting from zero again and again, yeah it is nice to know new people, but when you finally find a team that's worth and you want to repeat another round and you have the option marked in your HQ then you start doing plans for next round.  Well those plans went to hell when the bug happened, so don't tell me you all had everything setup for the round and now you're losing it, because I'm in the same situation if I cannot stay in fam, even more, I'd have to do the setup for the new team, so double job.

About knowing knew people every round it was fun some years ago when PW was PW, but honestly, I dont want/need to know new people, and explain the game basics again and again, and deal with inactives and rogues again and again, it's like that movie where people is trapped in time and repeat the same day continuously.  Because of this I decided to go SS, and I'm playing SS in MW and relaxing, and I wanted to play SS the previous round in PW until Teddy convinced me to play for the fam and get leadership and carry the fam again as a last chance, and the result is we WON the round, so we deserve to repeat this experience, I dont have to teach anymore basics this round, so please let me enjoy what I have earned!! yikes

I understand your point Render..... But in my last fam a few wanted to stay in fam and play together again. Our leader wasn't one of them....
We already started making rough plans....
I joined for this round after a serious long delay and found out the stay in fam didn't work.... So with this fam we started from scratch and set up everything for this round. It takes ages before we got the message the stay in fam would be created by the mods so now I can set up a fam for the 3rd time when round is reset....

This really pisses me of!!!! If we got the message when we joined we all knew but it always takes ages before information gets to the players!!!! This really pisses of more players then just me.......

I also understand your point WL, but you must know the original delay was cause because mods found the bug when PW was reseted, not when it was ended, and they were workin' to fix it for a couple days, and finally they opened a new round, but now they have the chance to beat the bug by placing people manually and thats a lot of job, but they feel they're doing the correct, because many people got the right to stay in fam.

If you say some ppol in ur fam was decided to stay then why dont you post your list in the stcky?? It doesnt matter you arent leader really, just post your list, those who want to stay will say a word and you can play together again.

Pisses you off? It pisses off the mods too. We didn't know if we were able to fix it. We've been trying to have to fix all the problems in a backasswards way because contrary to popular belief, our mod tools do not allow us to play god and do whatever we want to IC. We must find a solution with what we have, and we came up with one. It takes time to do this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

And I messaged them now TBO.... But I'm not going to explain the forums to a person that I might be in a fam with for 2-3 hours or (if the mods work the speed they always do in PW) 2-3 weeks.......

Render.... If there is a delay and it is put in the forum the moment they find out there is a delay people will understand. But if there is a delay and after days when it's nearly resolved you see why people just lose their patience..... My work is 100% based on service and when I tell people what's the problem and that I'm working on it they understand.... If I work on a server for a day and people can't work that time and after that day I tell what the problem was they just don't appreciate and get pissed at me cause they had 8 hours of thinking bout what I've been doing......




@arby. I understand that bug really are a pain in the ass..... But when you explain to people that there is a serious bug when you find out they will understand. Same for the stay in fam..... I think people rather had waited a week longer then what happens now... Lot set up fams already and can start with it again. If you just put a poll in the forum and on the HQ page of players we could have voted if we wanted to continue with the fams we had now or do the 'stay in fam' option now created. That way it would have been clear for people that they didn't have to waste time on setting up the fam already.
Now it's the players that use the forum most that are heard but I think 30-50% of that players with less experience that have no idea whats going on cause they never check uni.

well for starters they had 48 hour wl for leaders waiting

then it will take days to place everyone "its a long time..." but they cant do it any faster BECAUSE............ for one its just a long process and 2 they do have other shit to do then sit online all day and place you.


and also

a good person will explain the fourms to someone even if your not gonna be with them for a round...

I know the 48 hours TBO and that it takes time.... But if there would have been a message in the HQ just from start it would have been way more clear to people what was going on. Maybe a timeline when they going to expect PW to reopen would been fine too.....

And bout n00bs.... I really have no problem tutoring n00bs.... but I really want to do so when we play together cause I think communicating onn irc is one of the key parts of the game.... that is usualy the first thing  start with....and that takes a lot of time which I don't have atm cause I have a business to keep running.
