Re: Tatoo's in sight will prevent job opportunities
A lot of Americans are learning what a roommate of mine learned.
Let me cover the roommate. He was a high priced CNA working with the dangerous elderly... those with severe mental breakdowns that caused them to be a danger to themselves and others.
He loved tatoos and when I first moved in with them (after being homeless for a week, he had another roommate as well) he had them only in hidden places.
Over time he got them all over.. the final few on his neck, scalp, and knuckles. He was also spending compulsively on them and was keeping from me that he was late paying the rent sometimes (surprise surprise this bit me in the ass later that I gave him my portion of the rent) because he had over spent on a new tatoo.
Irregardless of his spending it was no surprise to me when he got fired.
He said it was trumped up and it probably was.
The problem is that most employers avoid obvious tatoo's because it can unsettle employees and customers.
You enter an interview with an obvious tatoo for a office job and statistics shows 9 out of 10 times you won't land a job if there is an equal or almost equal candidate without a tatoo.
Tatoo's may be interesting but showing one off may restrict your futute to less opportunities, less choices, and less income.
Worse... the cost of removing a tatoo is painful and expensive... take the price of the tatoo and multiply by 10.
The question is... why do we not educate children about these issues and help protect their future?
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)
