Re: Obama or McCain?

lol, interesting that i shouldn't challenge you for your beliefs.  That's what people in all walks of life who either don't care enough to learn to defend their beliefs, or pig headedly believe things for no reason say... be they christians, politicians, republicans or democrats tongue

And i believe the quote where you said it was:
"everyone will have their own opinion..i think it's wrong but meh w/e"

A) You were either saying it's wrong for everyone to have their own opinions
or
B) you were challenging everyone else's beliefs - which we find a bit offending wink

And, lucky to be half as smart as you?  Go get a Master's degree or a 710 GMAT score or a 1450 SAT score and we'll talk - not that all those things make someone smart, just that quite frankly, by the standards of out-dated, ill-moded Intelligence tests (which i freely admit they are both those things), I do qualify as a genius tongue  Meaning it is *extremely* statistically improbable for you to be anywhere near "twice as smart" as I am smile  Particularly given your past history in the forums of the practice of "believing things just because you believe them."

And genesis

winME IS just a texas redneck... one who would like people - whether they agree with him or not - to research and know why they believe what they believe, and be prepared to change if given superior information or motivation tongue

Re: Obama or McCain?

well maybe it came out wrong..what it was meant to say was that everyone has their own opinion, i believe that mine is right yours is wrong..but its your opinion tongue wink i don't hate you for it..it doenst make a differece to me but i think mine is right..if i didn't think it was right ..it wouldn't be my opinion

and oh i'm getting a MBA in the #1 business school in canada (Schullich) ..and it's rated in Top 25 in the world, i hear it was in Top 10 by forbes, but i'm not sure of that myself. "Particularly given your past history in the forums" and like i said in my previous post, please do not judge me by my posts in these forums, i come on here to loosen up, not spell check my posts tongue, or make sure what i say makes sense, or make posts relevant to the topic of the thread or forum tongue

LOOSEN UP tongue

Re: Obama or McCain?

Anyone can say whatever they want about their real life.  I could tell you that I was a professor of political science at Stanford, a published New York Times bestselling author, or whatever the hell I wanted, really.  However, if I don't act like someone with the qualifications I claim, I essentially don't have the credibility that I claim anyway.  In other words, start acting like who you say you are.  Otherwise, you're wasting our time and, frankly, you're damaging yourself by creating the image that acting like this is acceptable.  Some of us take these forums, and the expression of ideas with one another, seriously, and try to actually get interesting debates here.  For you to screw it up... you kill the forums for all of us, especially when you supposedly know better.

Re: Obama or McCain?

well zarf i just added that cuz winME started it tongue

and zarf..i fully wish to be part of debates and express my views aswell, but i'm not too serious about them, that doesn't mean i come on and post whatever, and make fun of evrything

i express my views and/or beliefs but i do it not in the typical fashion you guys are familliar to, or the fashion you guys follow, i do it loosely for lack of a better word. I don't take it seriously in the sense, I understand these are forums that everyone is part of to just hang loose, if you're here to challenge everyone's beliefs or make yours look supreme to the rest, than you need a life, and just to add, i don't think anyone does that, everyone is having fun, no one is going to be upset over what's said here, and i surely won't. I take the debate and opinions of other people seriously but not anything other than that, if i can make my opinion or belief and express it sarcastically, then why not? big_smile

BOO YAHH! wink

EDIT: I just read the part where you said i should be more like who i say to be on the forums, well if i wanted to do that why would i be on these forums anyways? I come on here to just chill out, i'm who i am for 14 hours of the day/night, i like to change a bit and get my fun side out on the forums and when with friend.

Re: Obama or McCain?

OK................ now that Gladiator has been sufficiently rebuked back to the topic big_smile

Voting for someone because he isn't someone else is very strong argument for you to offer support.  Basically you are voting for the lesser of two evils which is a good thing.

Not voting is simply a stupid choice.  It says that you are going to take your opportunity to express your beliefs and opinions and throwing it down the toilet then taking a giant dump on it and flushing it down.  failing to vote does nothing.

even voting for a third party is better than not voting at all.  You are still taking advantage of your constitutional rights and showing your support.  although a third party never wins.

In matters of principle, stand like a rock.

Sorry Yell, thought in that context it was not a swear word. In fact that and ass seemed to be the only acceptable words on the forum...
