"The Federal Government will pay for costs, to a level, for the lowest 5% in income in the US, and half costs for the lowest 10%."

now were getting mighty close to the same bill now arent we? wink that would make costs sky rocket just like they are now lol and though i do have socialist ideas, i do realize that most people are capable of bettering thier living conditions but choose not to. i simply want to help the ones that arent in this situation

Re: The Constitutionality of the Mandate

Close to Obama's bill? Not remotely.

I'm glad that, even with the new racist hispanic woman and the lesbian (not that there's anything wrong with that), the Supreme Court isn't yet too horrible at basic reading skills. (from what it appears. fingers crossed.)

Re: The Constitutionality of the Mandate

Zarf BeebleBrix, by no means would the mandate being ruled unconstitutional be evidence against a liberal bias.

The healthcare law overreaches what the law allows by so much that some of them can't pretend it's legal, even if their general political ideology might support the law. Even some liberals have some values. tongue Professional integrity, personal integrity, the ability to read... Whatever they might have which causes them to overturn the law, it's not necessarily evidence that they're not liberally biased, generally speaking.

Re: The Constitutionality of the Mandate

There's also the possibility that they're just asking tough questions to appear to have given the issue critical thought, when they intend to allow this gross violation of the Constitution of the United States of America.

Not particularly likely, but backlash has been buffered against by this sort of thing before. I couldn't tell you by who or when, but it's what the talking heads said. Again, not particularly likely, but it's possible. tongue

Re: The Constitutionality of the Mandate

While I do not give credit to the liberal ones, the other Supremes are supposedly fairly intelligent, and they should read the news. It should be clear ObamaCare will bankrupt the nation, so they should be willing to strike it down if they can find cause to do so.

Re: The Constitutionality of the Mandate

What a mess. I want to run for office. My slogan will be "burn it to the ground," and I'll make the campaign promises to execute anyone who doesn't evacuate a burning DC.

Sounds extreme. But I think I'm serious. And I'm positive it'd be good for America. tongue

Re: The Constitutionality of the Mandate

if the supreme court throws out the law or even just the mandate it is a rebuke of the lower courts that said 4:1 that it was legal, so, i'd say taht's some bias

V. Kemp SAYS he wants to execute anyone who doesn't evacuate a burning DC
<audio clip> "I'll make the campaign promises to execute anyone who doesn't evacuate a burning DC"

But V. Kemp voted 57 times to spare the lives of squirrels in the road

And his own campaign takes money from DC residents

The New York Times said "We never even heard of V Kemp, and that's not just cause we suck at research"

<sinister music>

V Kemp. Wrong for the job. Wrong for America.

Re: The Constitutionality of the Mandate

Kemp saves squirrels because they eat nuts. They positively devour nuts *soft music starts, patriotic* and Washington is filled with these nuts called administrators, staffers and politicians.

*Kemp fades in and starts talking* Destroying those nuts is important, but a meteor just won't happen, and plagues take to long. What I am proposing is to roast those nuts on an open fire and sometimes crack a hard shelled nut with a bit of fast moving metal.

Now my opponent claims I get my money from DC, and he got it a bit wrong. See DC Comics is my sole campaign provider with their PAC.

And as for name recognition the DC Tribune said "The end is coming, Kemp will win in a landslide!" I think this means they know something.

I am Kemp, and I approve this message!
