whoever it was, how the hell can u rate hellboy as gd -.-
the new batman film will be amazing. just rewatched batman begins the other day to get me back into it.
the film im most lookin forward to after batman is the incredible hulk - for those of you that are feeling stupid, this is NOT a sequel to 2003/4/5(?)'s shocker of a film, but is a new start with completely different cast and crew. should be alot better. i was hoping for a film more about bruce banner than the hulk itself, just watching him try to keep out of the army's hands and cure himself for the first half of the film, then have him 'hulk out' only about halfway through for the first time. Unfortunatley i read in an interview with the director that the hulk will appear in the first 3mins of the film. annoying but shud still be a dcent film.
and new bond later in the year! hurrah
Is anybody gonna see "Sex and the City" apart from Jets and Devil Dog?
and I figure they will because they're married

Didnt see Cloverfield or into the wild, but I am Legend is a disappointment to say the least. If i didn't already see it i'd tell everyone to save your money your not missing nothing, just another stupid zombie movie with little action or method to it. Hell the zombies looked ugly, you'd figure by mid-way though the movie it would get exciting ... it didn't from 1-10 i give it a 5

there is going to be a thundercats movie ![]()

Thundercats are loose!
OK I have been informed by reliable sources that Indy did not shag the Ruski babe and that is downright unAmerican!
I saw "The Happening", some thoughts
1. Shamalayan could have called it "The Plants" except Hitchcock's estate would have sued his ass off for plagiarizing "The Birds". It's borderline and that would have been final proof...
2. Kudos to a film that effectively demonstrates the need for private gun ownership
3. Could also have been called "The Slappening" but you won't find that out until you're 4/5ths through the movie
4. Seems to me if there's something in the air to make you kill yourself you'd do ok to get hella drunk. Unless it made you roll over and puke. So you'd have to strap yourself into a chair or something.
5. "Uh, I'm gonna go do something suicidally reckless m'kay? So I'm gonna leave my daughter with you m'kay? HEY Don't you go being a reckless dumbass with my little girl! Or I'll be mad about leaving her with you or something right up until my inevitable death!"
6. We saw six previews with this flick and I dont' want to see any of them.
Alrighty, time to update this as I've seen a few movies and I've been busy so now I have time ![]()
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
"Part 2 in the Narnia series, telling the story of the 4 kings and queens of narnia who visit thousands of years later only to find that narnia has changed and been more or less conquered by a neighboring country."
I loved this movie. The reason I liked it so much is that it was a film that I felt genuinely evolved as a sequel. The lion witch and wardrobe was a little boring at times and didn't really capture the essence of the book imo. Caspian was definitely the answer to it. It had aspects for anyone of any age to enjoy. The actors did a good job and the action and effects really made it a great movie as far as the fighting goes. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in following a fantasy book - movie series (aka the next harry potter set) to go see.

The Happening
"M Night Shylaman's R Rated horror/thriller about a strange force causing ppl to die in masses"
I was really excited to see the movie when I saw the previews, especially when I saw the lead actor was Mark Wahlberg. When the movie first opened up, I mean the actual beginning. The action started. Unfortunately though, the actors in this movie, I mean 100% of the cast, sucked. Honestly, I feel that anybody could've just walked on the set and starred in this movie. Nobody's espressions matched what was going on. No one's reactions were true to the movie's drama. It was an interesting concept...I just don't feel it was executed to perfection or even well for that matter. I'm a pretty open minded guy and I try to accept things for what it is whether or not it is what I'm used to. I can appreciate the vision and the moral of the story but the execution was just whack. I don't really recommend anyone seeing this unless you have nothing else to do. It didn't really have a good ending nor did it have much of a climax. Its a pretty poor first attempt at an R rated movie for the director. The Sixth Sense is really something he should've watched a few times before making this..."thriller"

You Don't Mess With the Zohan
"Adam Sandler plays a israeli counter agent who fakes his own death in order to be a hair stylist."
This...Movie....was....sooooooo HILARIOUS! ![]()
Adam Sandler has a long list of hits to top including Big Daddy, Anger Management, Mr. Deeds, so forth and so forth but this one is just plain outstanding. I loved Zohan because it was a movie that allowed so many other ppl to shine just as much as Adam Sandler does. Not only that, but he takes his own comedic genius to a different level in Zohan. Rob Schneider compliments him perfectly and together, they bring their A game to form a super comedy. It was just a movie that I couldn't stop laughing at. It never really got dry for me and it wasn't even a cliche comedy which a lot of comedians seem to make after a while. I don't know how he does it, but he keeps on ending up on dvd covers in my living room. Aside from a pathetic cameo from Mariah Carey, this is a great movie. 5 of 5
cmon 1 of 5 stars? the original Hulk flick deserved that but Happening I'd rate about a 3
the constant gore got dumb but once he showed people shooting each other with the same gun in turn, then it was cool hearing them do it out of sight.
lol that part was just too obvious though. The gore and death was just so boring =/
Its interesting how a man getting eaten by lions can still seem dull
>>Its interesting how a man getting eaten by lions can still seem dull<<
Yeah I was laughing at that in the theater, the lady was "What kind of terrorists ARE these?" and I said "What, the one holding the camera?"
but that was gripping cinema compared to the man running himself over with the lawnmower. I thought he was going to go into the garage and put in some motor oil and then sharpen the blades a bit...
Went to see 'what happens in vegas' the other day. good film if you go with ur mrs...
I so want to see 'the happening' though. its by the same guy who made signs & the village (i aint gonna try spelling his name
)
yeah I liked what happens in Vegas ![]()
Get Smart
Steve Carell (The 40 year old virgin) plays a United States spy who gets mixed up in a silly mission.
I went to go see the movie just to update this thread with the summer's main attractions really. It looked ok enough but I wasn't really looking forward to it. When I saw it though, it was a complete surprise. This movie was soooooo funny. I really thought it might be kinda corny. Even the rock wasn't so bad. He still kinda sucks as an actor but at least this time he kinda fit in the movie =p
Basically, Steve Carell works for the United states secret agency "Control". They fight to prevent their nemesis "Chaos" from taking over the world. Steve is a terrorist analyst who ends up being sent in the field when all the agents' identities are compromised except his. This movie was really very funny and the action and effects were good too. I liked this movie a lot and will definitely add it to my dvd collection. It's just a fun movie to see for everyone.

Kung Fu Panda
"Jack Black is the voice of Po, a panda in a father and son noodle buisness who has aspirations of becoming the great Dragon Warrior!"
I really really really loved this movie! I knew I was gonna like it when I first thought about seeing it but it was better than I expected it to be. Before, The Incredibles was my #1 fav animated movie, followed by Finding nemo. Kung Fu panda is my new #1. It's just a really fun movie for anybody. Bring a friend!
5 star animation movie definitely. This is what summer movies are all about.
Just got in from seeing 'Wanted'
OMG what a film ! ! ! !
Ok, the car chase might have been a total load of BS... you've got this really old, big animal care van chasing - and keeping up with - a red sports car (the one from the trailer). It's like WTF ! ! ! Screw spending loads on a cool car, gimme an old van !
But, some stunts are better than some on Bad Boys...
Don't know the kid playing Wesley, but he plays the part well.
And.... Angelina Jolie was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot ! ! ! ! Especially when she gets out of the pool

Top film ! Possibly the best one I've seen this year so far !

Wanted
"Wesley is just a guy with a crap life and no self confidence. His job is terrible, his best friend is sleeping with his girlfriend and he has no family. He is a nobody.......until he meets the fraternity of assassins."
I didnt like this movie. A lot of people are saying that its really good but the movie has wayyyyyy too many holes for it to be a good movie in my opinion. For starters, I will go ahead and say that it has great special effects and stunts. The fighting was great and and the blood was aplenty! On the other hand, there was no story to the movie. A child could've written this script. Wesley goes from having 0 confidence and 0 drive to being a badass bloodthirsty killer in two seconds. There was NO character development there. Also, they kind of play up a romance between the main character and angelina jolie's character but it's done horribly and there is no happy or sad ending with that. Just...an ending. There was also a certain significance between the main character and his father but the director doesn't do ANYTHING to build on that. There is supposed to be a climax and a turning point in the movie and it is hit so SOFTLY that it makes you wonder wtf, is he bi-polar or something? It was just pretty stupid the way that they set up that particular aspect of the movie. Even the ending was pretty stupid. It didn't even really end in a way that showed resolution, or a cliffhanger scenario....just an end? They try to do things to make the movie funny (there were funny scenes don't get me wrong) but they only do it so you don't think about a plot or wonder why there is no substance to the story. I'm just really disappointed in it.
If you want to see it just for the action then I definitely recommend it. Otherwise I'd wait for it to come out on dvd and go see one of the other big summer movies that are out if you haven't gotten around to going to the movies this summer. Lots of other good flicks. This is one I could've waited a few months to go rent.
