Can I briefly offer an anecdote that sort of applies to the current situation? Here it goes:
Two rounds ago, I was in a fam with basically the same core people and we wanted to make a 2v2 interesting by canceling on the fam that was clearly going to win. It would have been a 2v2v1 (or a 3v2 of sorts, but we weren't going to coordinate with the other alliance at all). Anyways, everyone got mad and we re-napped. We waited for our turn to hit that stronger alliance. Then Tobi (lol I love you) blindsided us and forced us to deplete our saves. While this war was going on (or right at the end), the stronger alliance canceled on us. We cried foul in the forums and no one cared. They farmed us and we finished the round in 5th (barely)
The only difference to this story is that there's not enough time in the round for this to happen. If there was another week in the round and we had another target, I'm positive that we would war that other target, you would end the war and save and then 2v1 us. Morale limits prevent us from taking however many planets you've already taken. Hell, I think 21/22 should pnap you so that we can fight it out for the round win. Do we have more saves? Yeah. Would it still be a chaotic last 2 days? Yeah. I think it would be a ton of fun - there's no chance we can touch all your unportalled planets - that's why we waited so long. If we were truly dbags, we would have made up with 10, saved a week, cancelled on you during the height of your war (not this farmfest) and claimed alliance victory. We waited and waited. We can't wait anymore.
You have saves. Fight us. It's 1v2. Pnap 21/22 and let's do this.
