Following the voting pandemonium of yesterday's lynch and the overnight discovery of the Godfather, today's lynch seemed relatively simple. In a somewhat bizarre decision, it was decided early on that it would be in the best interests of the town to keep Iluvatar alive and instead root out another mafiosa.

And so the votes piled on for a bewildered Valenka. Proclaiming his innocence defiantly, he watched as the town bandwagon moved in full force, ending in an massive majority for his lynching when the deadline passed.

As the executioner grabbed Valenka by the scruff of his neck, he hung his head despondently. Looking around for the three remaining familiar faces hidden in the crowd, he knew deep down inside that it would be an uphill struggle for his family now.

He was forced to place his neck on the cold wooden block which made up the base of the guillotine and closed his eyes as he waited for swishing sound of the blade falling to end his life.

A moment later and it was done. There was a thud as Valenka's head hit the ground.

The town square erupted in cheers and then began dispersing for another long night was awaiting them.

The Godfather limped slowly towards the girl. His back felt like it was being stabbed hundreds of times with every move he made. The wounds from the attack the night before had still not healed and he was having to change the blood soaked bandages every hour. Every time he closed his eyes he was treated to a reminder of the glass bottle being plunged into his back - it was so real he could almost feel it again.

The girl was fast asleep on the ground in the foetal position. She had her leg chained to a metal rod in the floor and had been there for the past 5 days. The area of her head where her head had been shaved still bore the brand of the mafia. She had not been told that her father, Lexuzis, had been killed some nights earlier and it was to stay that way.

Iluvatar stopped and watched the girl for a moment. She looked so peaceful. He raised his right hand and aimed the gun at her forehead before squeezing the trigger. The bullet hit its target and blood forcefully splattered the wall behind.

"Let's end this" he demanded as he and the two remaining mobsters left the cabin in the woods for the last time.

The Town Drunk was still in the bar even after last orders had been called. The barmaid didn't mind as she was used to closing up with him still around. She finished off her usual tasks - cleaning the top of the bar, washing all the glasses and clearing out the cash from the register - before heading out into the back kitchen to tidy up there.

The door swung open and the Godfather walked in with one of his mobsters. He saw the Arnor sitting at the bar with his bottle of rum. The Town Drunk looked up when he heard the door slam shut. "Oh hey, it's you! Sit down, let's have a drink! Bring your friend too" he mumbled.

The Godfather didn't respond. He simply raised his gun and fired a shot at the bottle. It instantly smashed into pieces, spraying glass and rum everywhere. Arnor jumped up in shock as he was showered in small shards of glass. "Hey! Hey! Cool it!"

glue looked at his boss who simply nodded in return. Three more shots followed and Arnor's body flew across the top of the bar from the impact. He hit the ground on the other side with a thud.

The barmaid was in the middle of washing the last plate in the kitchen when she heard the first gunshot.

"Wtf?!" she said to herself. She quickly took off her rubber washing gloves and crouched down beside the kitchen counter, careful not to make herself seen. She took out her mobile phone from her jeans and dialled a number. After only a couple of rings, someone answered. "Hello, is that the police?"

Genesis, the third and final remaining mobster, followed his leader to the town bar but didn't go inside. He went next door instead with his own orders.

Creeping to the side of his target's house, he slipped his credit card in the side of the door to unlock it and slid inside. The lights were off but he knew his target was home as he could hear voices upstairs. He moved towards the stairs and started to make his way up.

"Relax yourself, you can feel your body getting tired. That's it. Listen to my voice. Feel the meaning of my words. You will feel better."

The Serial Killer was lying on his bed. His eyes were half open but he looked to be in a daze. Elrohir, the doctor, was hovering over him, looking directly into his eyes whilst saying his words again.

Genesis walked into the room and immediately knew what was going on. He fired a single shot at the Doctor's chest and Elrohir fell to ground. His hypnotic trance with the Serial Killer was broken before he had a chance to complete the cure.

The SK was jolted awake by the sound of the bullet killing Elro and darted upwards and into Genesis with all his force. The pair of them fell backwards into the bedroom cabinet.

The shock of the attack caused Genesis to drop his gun. He instead clasped his hand into a fist and landed a couple of punches to the Serial Killer's face. Blood erupted from the SK's nose as he felt a bone break from the force of one of his mobster attacker's punches. He shifted position to straddle Genesis and attempted to dodge more of his punches.

Unable to move with the SK on top of him, Genesis changed his tactic and clasped both of his hands around the SK's neck, squeezing with all his might. The Serial Killer struggled to breathe and tried to unclench the grip from around his neck. He could feel his face turning purple as his brain and body were starved of oxygen. He flailed his arms around his body and reached towards the top of the cabinet to find a weapon.

His fingers first touched a cold metal object which he held onto. The iron was an ideal weapon as he brought it down onto Genesis's head. Hard. The grip around his throat immediately subsided and Genesis stopped moving altogether. But the Serial Killer didn't stop there. He screamed out as he lifted the iron once more and brought it down forcefully. The metal easily wedged into the top of his forehead and splattered blood everywhere. The iron went up and once again came crashing down. Genesis's skull had now cracked at this point.

The Serial Killer wanted to continue but he then heard three gunshots from the town bar next door. He dropped the bloodied iron and smiled at the mess he made before standing up and making his way downstairs. He selected a knife from his collection and headed out of his house and towards the bar.

The Godather walked around to the side of the bar to check on Arnor's body. He nudged it with his foot but he was definitely dead. "Serves that bastard right for blocking me last night" he mumbled.

The front door suddenly flew open and the Godfather drew his gun as two policeman ran inside with their guns raised.

"DROP YOUR WEAPONS NOW!" Alchoran shouted at the two mobsters in front of him.

The Godfather considered his options and looked sideways at glue who looked back at him. They both knew what they had to do.

glue was the first to pull his trigger and it started a chorus of bullets from both sides. Bottles of spirits which were stacked nicely behind the bar blew up as they were hit.

Iluvatar took three bullets to the chest and flew backwards onto Arnor's body. Alchoran took a bullet to the left leg and collapsed onto the ground. Nightwish turned to face his colleague and glue took the opportunity to run into the kitchen.

The swinging door closed behind him as glue entered the dark kitchen. He heard the sobbing of a girl towards the back and made his way towards the sound.

The barmaid was still crouched behind the counter and as glue raised his gun to fire, he didn't hear the sound of Zarf Beeblebrix, the Serial Killer, creep up from behind. Zarf ended glue's life with a swift slit of the throat. Blood flowed freely from the open wound and the last mobster fell to the ground choking on his own fluids.

At this point Nightwish burst through the kitchen door with his gun raised. The Serial Killer dropped his knife and held his hands up.

"Don't shoot! Hey, we're buddies, you and I! I'm pretty much a townie now!" Zarf pleaded with the cop.

"Errr no. We may have used you to get rid of the mob, but at the end of you day, you're still a cold hearted killer. I see no good in your eyes" Nightwish responded.

"Hey! No no no! We had an agreement! I'll kill off the mobs and you let me live, that was our agreement right from the beginning!"

"Will you just stop talking for once?!!" the police officer said. "I need to think."

With those words, Alchoran burst through the kitchen door and fired two rounds into the Serial Killer, knocking him backwards into some pots and pans.

"I'd had enough of his babbling" Alchoran said smiling.

Nightwish patted him on the back and put his arm around his partner as they made their way out of the bar. They were greeted with cheers as the remaining townsfolk had gathered outside to find out what the commotion was.

"Three cheers for the town! We're safe finally!" they cried in happiness. "Hip hip hooray!!!"

Thanks all for a good game. Mafia had a LOT of bad luck and some roles didn't turn out quite the way I liked, but I still had fun and I hope you did too
