The town's residents gathered around the guillotine in the centre of the main square to witness the lynching of delex.

It had been many years since the guillotine had last been used and the blade had started to turn slightly rusty. The executionist stood beside the wooden frame dressed entirely in black. His black hood covered his entire face apart from four slits for his eyes, nose and mouth.

delex was forced to bend down and put his neck on the wooden block upon which the blade would be brought down on. He didn't make a sound which was appropriate as he hardly made a noise during the lynching process.

There was a gasp from a lady in the crowd as the executioner activated the blade and ended delex the townie's life.

The Deputy Mayor stood up from his seat some yards away from the stage.

"Get back to your houses people. I feel we were incredibly lucky last night to have not lost anyone. Tonight we might not be so lucky."
