Topic: Obama takes a dive
If you are braindead you missed Friday's epic showdown between Democrats and Republicans.
Considered the Fort Sumter of the coming fights this is quite a retreat by the Obama Administration and by Obama himself.
He forced the Dem's in the Senate to accept a up/down vote on Healthcare and several other issues.
This is so HUGE as to be impossible for Liberals to understand, so let me explain.
1) The Dems will now be on record with a follow up vote on an issue where they DID NOT TAKE ANY REPUBLICAN INPUT the first time.
2) They will be voting on a bill the public has had time to see, and to hate even more.
3) They will be voting on a bill that States, Cities, Unions, Corporations, and Companies have sought (and obtained) Waivers against because it does to much damage to them.
4) They will be voting within a time frame that will make their votes remembered in election season, for a second election for House members.
The other side issues that present themselves are good cannon fodder for Republicans to be MOTIVATED.
This was a Win/Win for Republicans and a Lose/Lose for Obama
Further this undermines Obama's own base
1) Do as I say, not as I do
2) What promises has he kept?
3) Starting a war with no time table, no objectives, no leadership (When he swore he would never EVER start a war, hmmm?)
4) How much of that trillions has reached your pockets?
Democrats are fed up with him, he has not helped any of them, and they feel it.
But where have Liberals helped when they have had control for decades? Chicago? Hope you like wearing bullet proof armor. Detroit? Where people can buy property for under $500?
In fact the premier issue of our day, Unions, is going against Unions in California and New York (As well as Wisconsin, but they are not getting headlines because that would hurt their Democrat leaders in NY and Cali.)
Then the worst blow for Democrats in 100 years.. The last election where Republicans everywhere will be making districts that make sense instead of the current Gerrymandered districts. Democrats stand to lose dozens of seats to this in the coming election. Add to that, they are the ones who have the most Senate seats up for election in 2012. The most to lose by far, and the looks are that many are just announcing retirements with the knowledge the game is over.
Liberals, and especially Obama, have nose dived faster, stronger, and better than Carter ever did. Now I hope to see Bauchman, Palin, Palenty, or some other strong Conservative be our modern day Reagan in 2012
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)
