ok... IC3 is dead...along with all the idea's stephan had with it.
either he's forgotten what they were...or he's changed his mind.
Attacking in MW is SO repetative that the old hands dont want to bother anymore...nothing is new. 1/3rd the time invested into attacking compared to a couple years ago.
everyone know's how to infra whore....its not that hard if you take 15 minutes to learn the info from the guide and think for a few minutes...
we need some new races, we need 2 new units...whatever they may be. It's not like the community is asking for new graphics.
Basic idea's to save IC:
1) new units -- 2 alone would change up things dramatically. Not saying mine specifically...but we need some new units to change how attacking is done.
2) changing up how some units interact with each other. Excess bombers able to target ground units would be a boon to the attacking strategy, but not make things too unbalanced as it would still cost a LOT of morale to bomber run ground and not be all that effective
. It would be too difficult to code things where excess bombers target infra, really...doesnt seem all that worth it as you are bombing one planet and not all planets. 
3) new research...mining research. Really, I dont know why we dont have it yet. We have so many that are resource base...This would also change how families prepare for wars.
4) New race bonus? make it possible to have a +50% defense bonus to choose from instead of purely attack bonus?
5) Map styles and home system locations. Balance out the number of families per system. Stop crowding in several families into one sector and then have 3-5 all by themselves in another. Change up the design if at all possible.
