Re: English Language discussion of Belgian Elections
So you'd -again- rather throw away any of our chances on reform, just to deny the other side a piece of what they want? That leads absolutely nowhere except to waving a flag while listening to a pretty speech under the ijzertoren and nothing ever changes. Of course the PS wants as much as possible from us. That's what gives us the leverage the countermand, and the one pushing our lever now is a fat guy who for once doesn't care about being prime minister.
Also; I checked your statements, and you're wrong. Pensions for 2010 are 18 billion, and unemployment + brugpensioen(!) is 10 billion. And all that is entirely beside the point. Which is: There will never ever be a given time where the PS will say: "Oh, we apologise for exploiting you about 2 centuries, and here's a 100 gazillion to cover it." Flanders needs to get rid of Belgium, and holding this process back because of some idea of fair burden of costs and proportional settling of accounts is just foolish. The arena is politics, not a court. The skills needed are deal-brokering and vision, not accountancy.
