Topic: NAP fight Example
Okay, so had a bit of a skirmish last round - and I wrote a bit of commentary just so that you new-age attackers can see, that a proper NAP war is the funnest thing you can experience in IC.
Just posting here so you guys can see how things happened ...it was fun for me
...(but yes, its really nerdy -_-)
More people need to do this, and you'll realise how awesome it is ![]()

Torqez vs Blue
--------------------------
Incase you were interested, we just had a nice little skirmish
You can see the reports in Fam news, but they don't really paint a good picture
This is how a proper cancellation war is supposed to be like. Anyway just explaining it for you guys a bit so you see how it went
...Lucky I was online to do what I needed to
- i dindt know he jumped tho, so he had first strike.

vs
Torqez Camaar 7094647gc 226
600k Figs, 1.8m Droids, 0 Soldiers
I can't attack him cos I have no morale atm, having cleared Ultraviolet. So playing defense for now. Bound to lose portals, but thats how its played.

Bang! I unstation my figs, he doesn't suspect at all and sent in full fleet. Got to have taken a hit there on trannies and ground. He still has plenty that land, so takes the planet still. No worries, dmg to fleet is more important, I still have plenty of portals near him.
Blue = 1 Fig Hit, 3 Portals. Torqez = 1 Fullfleet unstation.

Since I pulled my figs on him, he wants to try run them again (having taken losses on droids). I had stationed them again, so he hits nothing.

I unstation again, JUST in time
...again he sends full fleet in without thinking I would pull my figs. Look at the droid loss now of mine. First portal lost was 206k, this hit he only killed 58k. Definitely took a hit on his ground twice.
Blue = 1 Fig Hit, 3 Portals. Torqez = 2 Fullfleet unstation.

Having hit his ground yet again, he again tests for figs. I'm smart and station before this hit again. Knowing he's bound to test with figs only.

Now, knowing his pattern, I kept them stationed for two hits. He knows I unstation after 1 check, so he checks again. I till have my figs stationed.

Ooooops, guess he didn't think I'd unstation after the 2nd fig hit
AAgain full fleet into my figs, this time he didn't have enuff to break my ground. Heavy droid losses.
Blue = 1 Fig Hit, 3 Portals. Torqez = 3 Fullfleet unstation.

In the fight we lost 856 fighters
Fig check. I only have s portal left, so its just a matter of time. He'll win if he doesnt have to go thru figs.

I unstation...wrongly
...Another fig hit. Good move on his part.
Blue = 2 Fig Hits, 3 Portals. Torqez = 3 Fullfleet unstation.

Stationed now, losing figs hurts so not worth it - would rather lose the 2 last portals.

Again testing for figs. I had them stationed as don't wanna take the risk of him hitting my figs . I have plenty of portals in the area, plenty of tickers, so not worth losing figs now.

Bang. Full fleet unstation again. Ofcourse at this point my figs are hurting, but he lost a lot of ground again as he fullfleeted. He took the last portal, but not without having to go through my figs.
Blue = 2 Fig Hits, 5 Portals. Torqez = 4 Fullfleet unstation.
Now to see networth drops of what he lost exactly ![]()

That my friends is a lil example on how a battle can go in a NAP war. It's fun as hell. The only exhilerating thing in IC imo. Because you don't know what's going to happen or how to handle it - and more importantly, it's all happening real time.
In summary I took 5 portal losses, but he had more fleet. Meanwhile I unstationed on him where I could. he did well to hit my figs twice. In a proper NAP war if I was the main fig guy, I'd have enuff figs to wipe out his entire droid fleet in one go if i unstationed. Similarly, if a Fig guy caught my figs, I'd lose 30% of all my figs on a max hit more than likely. Either way, its fun and unpredictable and a lot of strategy behind it too ![]()
Entire wars are decided like this in the first tick, based on who handles their fleet the best.
Anyway, end result?

...not a lot compared to what he has, but a huge step towards it. Now the battle of instants is over and it moves to tickers.
