Hostile Comrades:

In the year 2145, humanity has discovered and colonised the first planet outside their solar system. The planet, named Kryll, is on two weeks space travel time away from earth and has the same environment. Earth

They were stuck in a small ravine, the shells of the Asian artillery all around them. Their brilliant sergeant had decided this was the best road to take in an attempt to conquer Shinden, a small outpost that was in control of an Asian division. Naturally, he didn

Re: Kryll Wars

Excellent work, its a bit fast paced but I like it, the story flows smoothly

Keep it coming!

Re: Kryll Wars

Yes, well tongue The fast paced part was partially intentional, partially an accident.
I wanted to keep descriptions and detail to a minimum cause I didn't think it would this kind of story much justice.
Another factor is that every chapter is the other character, so some chapters are really short when I keep switching perspective. That really makes it all seem like it's uber-fast tongue

More coming soon!

It was one week after the successful capture of the Japanese outpost. General Rhoads, commander of the troops on Kryll, had sent reinforcements upon hearing that Torgen

The building was empty. Literally empty, as there was nothing to find, except the things that were too heavy to lift and a few tables and chairs. The Americans had taken the attack on Geran Bridge seriously and retreated as the European forces advanced. Of course, as soon as Kriegadler had taken control of the bridge, the other platoons that were waiting all rushed forward to attack the Americans that were based in the Geran area. But unfortunately for the bloodthirsty amongst them, the Americans retreated, by order of the headquarters no doubt. And now they were stuck here for days.

Some of the soldiers were sitting in the largest room which was most likely the recreational abode inbetween battles. One of the walls showed a circle where once a darts board was located, and all around it were little dots in the wall, showing the lack of skill when it came to aiming, which is an embarassing skill to lack when you

The shot was flawless, his target instantly dead. Kriegadler allowed a short grin on his face, before he returned to his usual grim expression. There was no turning back now, the enemy would be forced due west. He had no time to lose however, so he turned around and hurried back to the base where his platoon should be ready by now. He realised the enemy platoon would stay in hiding until they reached a safe spot, but he was certain they

Re: Kryll Wars

Good story, have enjoyed reading! Only tiny little point was that in the fast pace there was a tendancy to not space the text blocks, which made it fairly intimidating to read til I got into it. Help that helps! Otherwise great!

Good point, I must admit I've overlooked that.
I'll try to remember it big_smile

I like what i read until now;o

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: Kryll Wars

I apologise for it going a bit slower, but it's partially because of uni and partially because I've found myself unhappy with some bits I've written lately... I've decided however to avoid endless editing and such, so I tried to shake most of the feelings and just add a few last-minute things. Hope you like it nonetheless.

The night was long and for many a sleepless one. Rock examined a picture one of the soldiers had shown him of his family on earth. Torgen had ordered that during the night, at least half the platoon would be ready to counter a possible attack, and so the soldiers were spending their time talking of home. There was nothing else to talk about anyway. Most of them wanted to ask questions about the captain, but no one dared ask. Whenever the conversation appeared to go into the direction of that specific topic, Liz and Rock made sure to show they
